Hiking Edwin Journal

This new Hiking Edwin and the Background were a couple of favorites out of this collection.  Plus there were acorns and leaves to go with them and I could use some fall colors!!!
Decided to make a little journal instead of a card this time.
Can't possibly have everything flat, so I did cut out the leaves and acorns and layered them.  I crunched the leaves up a little to give a little shape. Water colored with Distress Inks which was so fun!!!  The embossing folder is Stampin' Up!, added some jute twine and a little white gel pen for accents.

These are Magnolia stamps from the new Turning Leaves Collection and you can find them at Diana's Magnolia-licious!  Edwin and the Background are also available in the mini version.  Be sure and check out all the great buys and offers Diana has for all of us!!!

Here are the links to the stamps I used:
112 HIKING EDWIN
444 AUTUMN OAK LEAF AND ACORN
He is quite the handsome lad isn't he???!!!

Appreciate the visit and thanks for stopping by!!!  I'm thinking I want to work on those darling sewing Tilda's next!!!

Enjoy every day!!!

Wrapped and Unwrapped Tilda Ornaments

Made a couple of ornaments with the mini Wrapped and Unwrapped Tildas.  Could also use these for gift tags too!

These minis can be found at Magnola-licious along with lots of other fun stuff!

You can still find the great special Diana is offering for both of these!
Click on the item to go directly to it:
MINI #3001 WRAPPED TILDA AND MINI #3002 UNWRAPPED TILDA
SWEET CHRISTMAS DREAMS PAPER PACK
#4 LEAF AND SWIRL DOOHICKEY DIES-Leaf
#22 VINTAGE FLOWERS AND LEAVES DOOHICKEY DIES-Flowers
#34 WILD STRAWBERRY AND FLOWERS DOOHICKEY DIES-Little Flower

Water colored with Distress Inks.  (Used the new Seedless Preserves along with the usual colors.)  Have also used a holly Punch Bunch punch, Spellbinders oval and label dies plus added the Viva Decor pearl drops.  Ooops, forgot to put blush on their cheeks!

Do you ever find that you have to stamp an image a few times to get a really good one?  Well, I've been experimenting with the No More Shims Embossing Mat.  I've mentioned I love using it for embossing with my Cuttlebug, but also found another great use!  Normally when I stamp my minis, I've put them on an acrylic block with the Tack and Peel and then had a piece of foam mat under the paper I'm stamping on.  I found the No More Shims mat works even better than the foam mat because it has some cushion, but just the right amount of firmness.  Hope that makes sense!  I love using products that have more uses than just the original intention!

Diana has the No More Shims mat and the Tack and Peel at Magnola-licious!

I hope everyone is working on their projects for the fabulous challenge over at Magnolia-licious Highlites!  There are some awesome prizes you wouldn't want to miss out on!

HERE is the link to the Wrapped Up Holiday Challenge and all the info.

And you still have time to participate in the Count the Snowflakes Blog hop!  HERE are the details and the Design Team projects.

Thanks for stopping by and always enjoy reading your comments!!!  Appreciate it!!!
Enjoy every day!

A Wrapped Up Holiday Challenge and Count the Snowflakes!

I'm sure this Wrapped Up Holiday Challenge is getting you in the Christmas mood!  Working with these little cuties and the few inches of white stuff that came down yesterday sure got me into it!!!

Hope you are enjoying the blog hop with all the fabulous creations from the Magnolia-licious Design Team!  If you just saw the fabulous work of Janiel, you are going in the right direction.  If you came here on your own, you will want to start at the beginning HERE at Magnolia-licious Highlites.

I've created a Joy wall hanging and added our featured mini Wrapped and Unwrapped Tilda's plus added the new mini Ribbon Tilda.  Figured she fit in with the theme since she has a ribbon to tie up something!!!  (Not that I'm thinking that far ahead, but she would be great for Valentine's Day too!)

Diana has these darlings plus an outstanding special on minis HERE.  She has paired up some of the minis for this and what a great way to start or expand your collection.  Besides this terrific sale, she has awesome service and a fantastic selection of Magnolia and other fun products!

From Magnolia-licious, I've used:
MINI #3102 RIBBON TILDA
MINI #3001 WRAPPED TILDA
MINI #3002 UNWRAPPED TILDA
SWEET CHRISTMAS DREAM PAPER PACK
#15 POINSETTIA FLOWERS DOOHICKEY DIES
#17 SNOWFLAKE AND MISTLETOE DOOHICKEY DIES
#34 WILD STRAWBERRY AND FLOWERS DOOHICKEY DIES

These are the same flowers I used on the card I made the other day, I thought I would use them for this one too.  They went so nicely with the Sweet Christmas Dreams paper.
Edged the flowers with a sponge dauber and ink.  The centers are some crushed stone glued in with Glossy Accents from my stash.

I can't believe the generous and awesome prizes Diana from Magnolia-licious is offering.  I hope you will join us in this fun challenge!  Details are HERE.  Did you find the hidden snowflake(s) on the first photo?

Now you get to hop over to see what that Queen of the Coloring Pens Ruby has created!  I know for a fact she worked hard at coming up with something fun and exciting to share with you!!

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy every day!

Tilda with Snow Heart Box

Get your Scor-Pals out!!!  Make this quick and easy little box with this new cute Tilda with Snowy Heart and a flower and some greenery!  The box has a band that slides off and easy to decorate with our favorite Magnolia things!

HERE are the instructions for the Box and all you do is add a band to go around.  I had leftover pieces from my piece of 12 x 12 paper!

Here are some of my favorite Magnolia things that I used for this project:

There is a new Vintage Mistletoe die that is an awesome addition to our greenery dies too!  Check out Magnolia-licious for a terrific selection of all the new and old dies besides the Magnolia stamps!  Great prices, get store credit for your purchases and free shipping with qualifying orders besides wonderful service from very nice people!!!

A Punch Bunch stamen punch and 1/4" circle punch was also used.  Tilda is water colored with Distress Inks and so is the flower.  I've used the new Seedless Preserves from the limited edition set, but the photos have made it more pink than it really is.  It is more of a nice grape color.  Used my usual white gel and stardust pens for some detail!

Appreciate you checking in!  Hope you have time to do some creating today too!

Enjoy every day!

Happy Holiday Winter Scene

Angie has come up with some lovely inspiration photos for us for the Magnolia-licious Highlites challenge for November!  The east is already experiencing the white stuff, but at least we haven't yet!!!  Our time will come!!!

I wanted to use a few different minis for my scene.  If I would do it again, I would do the layout a little different.  Isn't that always the way it goes!!!

The minis I've used are from Magnolia-licious of course!!!
MINI 147 EDWIN ON SLED
MINI 448 SANTA'S BENCH
MINI 568 WINTER FOREST
MINI 3076 TILDA IN WINTER LIGHT

These are quite popular, so two are out of stock right now, but please check with Diana at Magnolia-licious .

These images are water colored with Distress Inks and the background is also sponged with Distress Inks.   I've added some punched snowflakes from Punch Bunch and Martha Stewart.  The Happy Holidays stamp is Hero Arts and I've added white with a Souffle pen on the trees and white gel pen for the "dot" snowflakes.

You will want to check out the Stay Put Craft Mats.   Even if someone has the old style craft mat, you will love to have this one because they are so much better!  On the old one, my corners would keep curling up and it would slide around.  Doesn't happen with this one, it is fantastic to work on whether you are heat embossing, smearing inks, or gluing!  Check it out for yourself or would be a perfect gift for that crafter that seems to have everything.  I couldn't believe the difference working on this mat.  Makes my crafting much easier!

I hope you will join us in the challenge for your chance at a great prize sponsored by Diana at Magnolia-licious.  Not only that, but it is fun and a good way to get another Holiday card done!!!

Enjoy every day!

You can find all this collection in both regular and minis at Magnolia-licious and Diana has the new Sweet Christmas Dreams collection now available too!  Oh, talk about cute!!!  I got myself a "few" early Christmas presents!!!  :)  Well okay, yes it is more than a few, but can't wait to color those too!  Such great service at Magnolia-licious.  They got here so quickly thanks to Diana and crew.  I get to go on a little stamping retreat this weekend, so they are traveling with me!!!

Tilda Flower

Tilda is the center of attention when she is used for the center of a flower!  The minis work so nicely for this type of thing!  I've also used an Embossie (see post below) for the background.

Tilda is the MINI #3034 TILDA WITH BUTTERFLY JEANS!  As you can see, you don't see the cute jeans she has on, but she is still a cutie in partial stamping!!!  I've also used the #34 WILD STRAWBERRY LEAVES DOOHICKEY DIE and the #9 DRAGONFLIES DOOHICKEY DIE.   Tilda is water colored with Distress Inks:  Tattered rose-skin, Wild Honey-hair, Faded Jeans-dress, Pumice Stone-shading.
These can be found at Magnolia-licious where  Diana has an awesome selection of the Magnolia products and more!  The new Sweet Christmas Dreams collection is in along with the mini sizes and they are just the sweetest images!!!
Have also used Punch Bunch groovy flower, sunflower and heart punches along with circle Spellbinder dies.  The corners are Creative Memories and I've used the Stardust pen and white gel pen for accents.  The word stamp is Hero Arts.

Thanks for stopping by and checking in!!!

Enjoy every day!

Lovely Tilda Ready for Fall

September and guess we have to start thinking autumn! That creative Sharon Caudle has come up with a great challenge for us for Magnolia-licious HighlitesFall or Back to School Projects using rich Fall Colors   Quite appropriate I think!!!

From Diana's Magnolia-licious store, I've used #371 TILDA WITH FLOWER POT.  Tilda is water colored with Distress Inks.

I've also used a Spellbinders die, and Punch Bunch, EK Success and Stampin' Up punches.  The embossing folder is mostly covered up by the flowers, and that is by Sizzix.

Please join us in this challenge!  That generous Diana has offered a really nice prize again!!!  All the details are at Magnolia-licious Highlites along with all the design teams projects.

Happy Fall Y'All!!!

Enjoy every day!

Swimming Tilda enjoying life!!!

Tilda looks like she is enjoying the views underwater.  Is that Nemo she is swimming with?

This is some paper from K and Company and the colors and the swirls at the bottom seemed to fit right in for an ocean scene.

The wonderful Magnolia items and many, many more are from Diana's store Magnolia-licious!

#365 SWIMMING TILDA
#604 HAWSER
#446 SEA SHELLS
#23 ANTIQUE LACE DOOHICKEY DIE

The hawser and sea shells are nice little accessory stamps to add to your creations.  Check out the STEAL of a DEAL that Diana has on these two, but  better get them quick before they are sold out!  The hawser and shells are also ideal accent pieces for masculine cards with ships on them!!!
Tilda and the hawser are water colored with Distress Inks.  The shells are stamped on pink card stock with white pigment ink.  I've used Spellbinders dies, Stampin' Up and Penny Black word stamps and of course added some Glossy Accents to the goggles, fish and bubbles.  Can't believe, but somehow or another I didn't get any sparkle on there!!!  :)
Sure makes me want to go swimming!!!

Enjoy every day!

Not Nearly Enough!

These characters from Art Impressions are so funny!  This is from the Golden Oldies series.  I decided to try another Dare to Get Dirty challenge at Splitcoast.  Kept it simple because the images are the focal point, don't need anything else!!!

The words are computer generated and the image is colored with Distress Inks.  I've used a Spellbinders die and a MS punch.  I love to use the different types of jazzing pens and these characters work great for them.  I've used a white gel pen, Stardust pen, glaze pen, silver gel pen, a few markers and also Viva Decor glitter pen for a little dimension!  If I had some real chocolate sprinkles, I would have glued them to the icing!!!  :)

Off to see what else I can finish up!
 Enjoy every day

Doggone It!

Had some fun using Art Impressions cute little doggie stamps.  They have such a great variety of stamps from cute like these to hilarious characters and beautiful landscaping.  Also very nice people to work with!

I've water colored the dogs with Distress Ink and cut them out.  The hydrant was a shape I had made ages ago.  I traced it on the fold (at the top), cut it out and then did some shading with a brown chalk pencil.  The bones I just freehand cut out and distressed around the edge with Antique Linen Distress Ink.
The paw tracks are stamped in dark brown with a Hero Arts stamp.  And here is a side view.
All for now!  Have a Doggone Good Day!!!

Nothing But Paper Challenge

Absolutely fun project this month from our leader and challenge hostess Diana!!!  Thanks for the challenge Diana, makes a person think!  I've use the cute new mini Watercan Tilda from the Sweet Rainbow collection.

So for my nothing but paper, I've made faux pleated ribbon, faux ribbon and bow, faux brads and of course my usual faux flowers!

All the details are on the Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge blog HERE.  And of course, if you want to join us in the challenge, that really nice Diana has offered another terrific prize!!!
Magnolia-licious has such a spectacular selection for you to chose from.  I've used the following Magnolia products:
MINI #3032 WATERCAN TILDA
#15   POINSETTIA DOOHICKEY DIES
#22 VINTAGE FLOWERS AND LEAVES DOOHICKEY DIES
#24 DREAM TAG DOOHICKEY DIES
#27 MAGNOLIA TREE--BUTTERFLIES DOOHICKEY DIES

Water colored Little Tilda with Distress Inks and did add a white gel pen for accents.  Used a 1/4" and 3/8" circle punch for the faux brads.  The pleated ribbon was made with my handy dandy  Scor-Pal scoring at 3/4", then 1/4", then 1/2", then 1/4" again and repeat those same scores across the strip of paper that is 3/4" wide.  The printed paper is K and Company.  Used a Stampin' Up punch for the oval cut out.
The flowers were made with the #22 VINTAGE FLOWERS AND LEAVES DOOHICKEY DIES.  I've shaded them with a little yellow/gold chalk, twisted the petals and added a 1/8 circle of yellow/gold paper for the centers.  The bow was made from the background paper and I cut it out similar to an old Deja Views stencil.

Hope you'll join the challenge and thanks for checkin' in!!!

Enjoy every day!

Graduation Time for the Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge

Since June is known for graduations, I figured it is a good time to use the mini graduation stamps.  The talented Janiel is our hostess this month and has challenged us to use only mini Magnolia's on our projects for the Magnolia-licious Highlites DT Challenge.

This is the inside of the graduation hat card and gift holder.  Simple and plain, but does the trick.  Money or a gift card can be tucked into the pocket on the bottom.

I've used Mini #295 Graduation Tilda, Mini #705 Dreams and Goals and Mini #701 Congratulations! which you will find at the outstanding store of Diana....Magnolia-licious.

Have also used Spellbinders dies and some gold star stickers.  Tilda is watercolored with Distress Inks.

This is the front of the card.  I colored a silver brad with a navy blue alcohol marker to get the right color and added a gold tassel.

These two photos show how the card collapses to become flat.  No 3D flowers on this one!!!

I'm sorry, I did not mark down where I originally got the idea.  Probably Splitcoast Stampers, but here is a diagram of how the card is made.
The bottom layer is made by overlapping and adhering the two pieces on either side of the cut line.  The back panel piece is only adhered onto the upper triangle piece.  The Scor-Pal is ideal for making these score lines.

Hope you will join the challenge of using only Mini Magnolia's on your project and link it HERE at the Magnolia-licious Highlites blog.  You can also check out what fabulous prize you could win!

Enjoy every day!
