Sweet Angel with Star

So much for sticking to flatter cards for mailing!!!  I just love doing things with dimension!!!  I started with the printed paper from the mini Sweet Christmas Dreams Paper pack!  Loved this print and the soft grey with a brown tint to it.   Tilda is colored with ProMarkers and Touch Markers and I also used the greys with the brown tint.
Of course the wonderful Magnolia products I used are from that nice Diana at Magnolia-licious!
#3083 TILDA WITH HANGING STAR
#22 VINTAGE FLOWERS DOOHICKEY DIE
#46 VINTAGE MISTLETOE DOOHICKEY DIE
#47 SPRUCE SPRIG DOOHICKEY DIES
I'm really excited about how Diana is helping us to be able to afford the new collection with her special prices and store credit system.  She is always looking out for ways to help us!!!  Just like the last collection, there are so many cute stamps and I can't wait to start playing with those too!
Also have used the new framelet die from Stampin' Up, oval Spellbinder dies, a corner rounder, a Sizzix embossing folder, Stickles and seam tape for a bow.  The Wishing You stamp is from an Inkadinkado set.
Off to see if I can get any more cards done!  I'm just so slow, I should start Christmas cards in January!!!

Enjoy every day!!!

Monochromatic Birthday Card

Funny how a person starts out with one idea and it completely evolves into something else.  I started with Graphics 45 paper that has Peter Rabbit on it and ended up turning it over and using the back side print instead.

Made this card for an especially nice lady that is always looking out for me!  Thanks Jackie!

There was no stamping involved except on the inside, but did make use of some terrific dies and punches.  Used the Spellbinders Parisian border and motif and Punch Bunches Groovy Flower, Twig, Dahlia Petals, Daisies and Butterfly punches.
Sponged around the edges of everything with Versamark ink and added liquid applique to the petals and some pearls.

This design was inspired by Elly's work.  She's from Norway and makes such beautiful creations with a monochromatic theme and uses lots of dies and punches.  Thank you Elly for sharing your work!

Enjoy every day!!!

Black and White with a color to POP!

Hope you are enjoying the Magnolia-licious Highlites blog hop!  As you've probably already found out by now the challenge is to create a project using Black and White with a color to Pop!  If you've come from the talented Cheryl Rowley's blog, you are going in order!  The entire list of names and details of the hop are HERE at Magnolia-licious Highlites.

I've used  #277 Bon Voyage Tilda and the #7 Old Swedish Lace DooHickey Die both I got from Diana's terrific store Magnolia-licious!  The bow was made with the Bow Easy, another handy dandy tool to make bow making so much easier!

Worked with some old and new things which also made it fun.  Colored Tilda with alcohol markers, used a Marianne die along with an old Posh Impression corner punch, Punch Bunch butterfly and sun punches, EK flower punch and added ribbon and cabochon stones for a little bling.  The printed background paper is Stampin' Up.
Can't wait to see what the other design team gals have created.  Hope you will also take up this fun challenge and enter your creation too!  I'm sure you won't want to miss the next stop....Angie Hunt will no doubt have something fantastic for you to see!

Enjoy every day!  Thanks for stopping by and as always so appreciate your comments!

Who is in the Shadows?

Looking for something different to try???  There are some stamp companies that have been putting out some silhouette stamps lately and I thought we could make our Maggie stamps into silhouettes too!!!  Without looking at my supply list, can you guess which stamps I made into silhouettes on these cards?
I stamped the African sun (using this as a moon for these cards).  Since the images are going to be colored in solid anyway, it is not necessary to even mask.  Stamped the images and then colored them with a black Sharpie pen, water colored the "moon" with a little Weathered Wood Distress Ink and sponged around the edges with Faded Jeans Distress Ink.

Used Spellbinders lacey square and circle and one of the tags from the new grommet set.  Also sponged some Faded Jeans on the tag.  The Happy Anniversary stamp is a Studio G stamp.

Did you guess the right stamps?

They are:
MINI #3073 TILDA AND EDWIN DANCING
MINI #334  BROTHER AND SISTER

Just had to add a few flowers too and used Doohickey dies:
#17 SNOWFLAKE AND MISTLETOE
#22 VINTAGE FLOWERS AND LEAVES

Embossed one background with the Stampin' Up Tulip Border and the other with Cuttlebug Cassies Brocade embossing folders.  Sanded the embossed parts with a sanding block.  Added mini sun punched centers and rhinestones to the flowers and a little Stardust Stickles to the moon with white gel pen on the clouds.

You can find Magnolia stamps HERE at Diana's Magnolia-licious store.  Don't forget to look through her gallery on this website too.   There are tons of wonderful cards and projects to check out for inspiration.

Now a little challenge for you is to check out your stamps and see which ones might work good for silhouhettes.  Would love to see what you do with them, so please let me know!

Thank you for stopping by and you know I always appreciate the comments!

Enjoy every day!

September is one of my favorite times of the year because it is fall!  Love the earthy colors and leaves, so thought I would put on a few cards I made using a few punches, a little extra hardware and a Deja Views paper and pieces tablet.  So easy and fun there's probably enough pieces left for another 20 cards!
