Interactive Christmas Tag Blog Hop

Are you ready for some fun??!!!!  I'm going to start you out with my project for an interactive tag.  Both design teams for Magnolia-licious have been busy creating for our November Blog Hop and challenge.  There are TWO challenges:  ONE to make an interactive tag and TWO count the candy canes you find on the first image on each blog throughout the hop.  You will find more of the details at the Magnolia-licious Highlites blog and also the list of names to follow along on the hop if you get side-tracked.  Diana is always so generous with her prizes and she is definitely in the Christmas spirit for the prizes for these challenges too!
I've used yet another adorable Tilda from the Little Christmas Collection 2012.  Here is a list of the items from Magnolia-licious:
215 CHRISTMAS TILDA WITH CAT
445 JASPER
27 MAGNOLIA TREE - leaves
68 CLOVER WITH FLOWER DOOHICKEY DIES
26 HEART SWIRL DOOHICKEY DIE
8 DOILY FLOWERS
7 OLD SWEDISH LACE DOOHICKEY DIE
The interactive part on my project is not only the folded flaps, but I also put a wobble mechanism behind Tilda and Jasper, so they do a little shimmy when the card is jiggled.  The images are colored with Promarkers.  The oval frame is a Spellbinders die, the embossing folder is Cuttlebug and I've added some pearls and ribbon.
That really nice Diana at Magnolia-licious offers store credit for purchases even on the already discounted prices AND free shipping for qualifying orders!!!  You will find they have a fantastic selection of Magnolia stamps, a wonderful assortment of dies and lots of other great products.

Now you will want to head over to that sweet and talented Cabio at Cabio's Craft Corner to see what creative project she has made.  We hope you will join us in these fun challenges!

EDIT:  People have been asking and I got my Wobbles from Amazon!
Enjoy every day!  Thanks for stopping by!

Joyful Tilda

This adorable Tilda is another from the A Christmas Story collection.  She is very versatile as you can see and can be used other than Christmas too!
351 JOYFUL TILDA and you can find her at Magnolia-licious!  Tilda is colored with Promarkers.  I've used the flowers from 22 VINTAGE FLOWERS AND LEAVES DOOHICKEY DIE.

The oval is a Spellbinders frame, the corners are a Cuttlebug die and the butterflies and flower centers are Punch Bunch punches.  Pearls for the flower centers and white gel pen for accents.

She would be the perfect image for a tea part invitation wouldn't she!!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and as always appreciate your comments!!!
Enjoy every day!

Think Pink Treats

The Magnolia-licious DT wants to help promote awareness/early detection and share what this Think Pink Month is about with ALL women!  We also want to honor all of those women that have or are currently fighting this disease and show our support in the fight!!  To show our support the DT has planned our own “Think Pink” Celebration and we hope you can all join in.  Each DT gal has created some Sweet-PINK treats and PINK Packaging to match using those beautiful Magnolia images.  You can find some Magnolia stamps that were created specifically for Pink Ribbon Awareness at Magnolia-licious HERE.  So have fun hopping along to see all the fabulous Pink-a-licious Creations and make sure to stop back by the Magnolia-licious Highlites Blog to join in on the fun too!

I've chosen to use two of the mini versions of the special stamps on my projects.  The pink sure shows up as a hot pink on the pictures!!!  It's really not quite that bright in real life!

Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October) is an annual international health campaign organized by major companies every October to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure. The campaign also offers information and support to those affected by breast cancer.  The Pink Ribbon symbol was used in 1993 by Evelyn Lauder as the symbol of The Breast Cancer Research Fund she founded and is used to symbolize the fight against the disease.  We also honor those that have fought the battle and who are currently fighting the battle while raising awareness to ALL women to be aware of the symptoms and to be proactive against the disease.   Want to find out more?  The National Breast Cancer Foundation HERE for those in the US and globally at the PinkRibbon.org site HERE!
  • In 2011 Nearly 1.5 million women across the world were told they had breast cancer
  • One-third of breast cancer deaths can be decreased with early detection and treatment
  • In the US 1 out of 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer over their lifetime, an estimated 527 women are diagnosed in the US with breast cancer each day
The Queen of Qoloring Suzanne Dean is your next stop to hop to and be inspired by her fabulous work!

The border die worked nicely to make a couple of corners too!  The image is colored with Promarkers and Touch markers.  Along with the Doodlebug papers, I've used a couple of their glitter brads too.  Also used a Spellbinders die and Stampin' Up oval punches.  Words are Stampin' Up!

Should have used the mini sentiments on these cards!!!  Diana at Magnolia-licious has them for only $2.99 each!!!  You can check out those and all the other Magnolia things plus much more HERE!!!

It's a Beautiful Day!

Just a quick post today.  After using the Stardreams paper on my last project, I decided I should finally use this wonderful Magnolia Butterfly along with some DooHickey die cut flowers.

Diana has also just put into her inventory some fabulous new Poppy Stamps and Memory Box dies along with some of the new DooHickey, so be sure to check them out at Magnolia-licious!

I've used:
#416 LARGE BUTTERFLY
#4 LEAF AND SWIRL DOOHICKEY DIE
#36 VINTAGE DAISIES DOOHICKEY DIES
#47 SPRUCE SPRIG DOOHICKEY DIE
#65 SUMMER FOLIAGE DOOHICKEY DIE  This is a brand new die and isn't the one I used, but would work perfectly

Have also used a Spellbinders label die, Cuttlebug embossing folder, Promarkers and an Inkadinkadoo stamp.

All for now!  Thanks for stopping by and enjoy every day!!!

Lacy Flowers for the Wedding

Hope you are enjoying the Magnolia-licious Highlites Hop for June with a Wedding theme.  Haven't they been awesome projects!!!!  If you are following along the hop, you would have come from Barb Hardeman's Stampelicious blog.  Don't ya just love her candle!!!
I have this card made with all the wonderful Magnolia DooHickey dies that I love from Magnolia-licious.  My favorite online store for the best prices and selections of all things Magnolia and more!  Really nice people too!!!  Dies happen to be my latest, well one of my latest addictions lately and Diana is carrying some other fantastic dies like Poppystamps and Memory Box too!
Here are the wonderful DooHickey Dies and the links:
I see a couple of the dies are out of stock at the moment, but there are many to choose from that will work just as well or even better!
Found this lovely little gift box in my stash from a long time ago.  Don't even remember where I got it.  Frank's Nursery and Crafts????  They are long gone!  Figured it was about time I used it and it just cried out for flowers on top of it!
I've run the Peony Petals thru the Cuttlebug with the dotted embossing folder.  Used a Cheery Lynn lattice die in the background and did a little coloring with Promarkers on the flowers, leaves and butterfly.  The word stamp is an old Stampendous stamp.  Added a few half pearls.  Can't see any Tilda's or Edwins on the outside, but maybe, just maybe they are hiding inside!!!  :)

You will want to head over to Ruby Montes, And That's All She Wrote blog.  Now she knows how to put some color into things!!!!  Truly amazing work!!!
Hope you will join the challenge at Magnolia-licious Highlites.  That generous Diana has offered another terrific prize!

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy every day!!!

Luscious, Lovely, and Lacy

I hope you are enjoying the Lots of Luscious Lace cards that the Design Team is doing for this months hop!  I'm sure you saw something gorgeous from Angie if you are coming from ScrapGirl. If you came own, you can start at the beginning at Magnolia-licious Highlites!

When I heard the theme, I knew I wanted to get out my DooHickey dies and then chose Circus Tilda because she has all the lovely lace on her dress to match the dies!  So I nestled her amongst the lacy flowers and dragonflies!

All these are at Magnolia-licious:
#367 CIRCUS TILDA
#8 DOILY FLOWERS DIE
#9 DRAGONFLIES DIE
#18 ROSE LEAF DIE
#22 VINTAGE FLOWERS AND LEAVES DIES - Leaves
#23 ANTIQUE LACE DIE
#24 DREAM TAG DIE
#34 WILD STRAWBERRY AND FLOWERS - Flower

Tilda has been colored with Promarkers.  Tried a number of times to get the color correct, but the peachy color is pretty close, but the gray is really more of a soft brown gray color.  It is Sahara Sand for the Stampin' Up! aficionados!!!
Can you tell I'm kinda addicted to dies!!!  Added half pearls for the centers of the flowers.

Please check out Diana's store Magnolia-licious for all Magnolia products and also she is offering a variety of other wonderful dies.  Fantastic service and fantastic people!!!  She also carries a couple of real unique products which are the No More Shims Embossing Mat and the Stay Put Craft Mat.  I use the No More Shims mat not only in my Cuttlebug for my embossing, but also use it as a stamp mat.  Really helps to get a nice clean even image.  The Stay Put craft mat is different from the regular ones out there because it has a rubberized coating on the back that keeps it in one place and helps keep it from curling up on the edges.  Love it...ink and glue wipes right off and you can use it for heat embossing too!

Now you will want to hop on along to visit Cabio at Cabio's Craft Corner!!!  She is the sweetest little gal and so very talented too!  She will have something pretty and lacy for you to see!!!  Hope you will join us in the challenge!

Thanks for stopping by!  Enjoy every day!

Mother to Be Tilda!

That fun Ruby suggested we do a baby theme for our Magnolia-licious Highlites challenge for the month of April!  To go along with that theme, I used the new Mother to Be Tilda!  Now she is so cute and adorable and I surrounded her with flowers before she is only surrounded by diapers and bottles!!!

I pulled out some of my favorite DooHickey dies to go along with my card and gift bag/box.

You can find these great Magnolia things plus other fun things at Diana's Magnolia-licious store.  She has a fabulous selection besides discounts and store credit along with free shipping with qualifying purchases!!!  Wonderful selection and wonderful people!!!

Here is the list of things I used on my projects:
279 MOTHER TO BE TILDA
26 HEART SWIRL DOOHICKEY DIE
29 SWIRL BUTTERFLY DOOHICKEY DIE
34 WILD STRAWBERRY AND FLOWERS DOOHICKEY DIE
36 VINTAGE DAISIES DOOHICKEY DIE
44 SWIRLY LACE BORDER DOOHICKEY DIE
49 SO WRAPPED TILDA LACE FOLDED TAG DOOHICKEY DIE
Here is the card with Tilda colored with Touch and Promarkers.  I think this Tilda will also make a nice portrait image too.
This little gift bag was so easy to make with my handy dandy Scor-Pal!  You can find this pattern for an Make a Wish Window Box (mine is without the window) along with a ton of other inspiration patterns over at the Scor-Pal site HERE!
I've added some little pearls and organdy ribbon along with using a Cuttlebug embossing folder.

Please join our challenge for a chance to win a nice prize from Diana!  And besides entering the challenge, you will have a baby project ready for when you need it!

Enjoy every day!

Easter Treat Holder

If you are hoppin' along on the Easter Bunny blog hop at Magnolia-licious Highlites and hopped here from creative Cheryl Rowley's blog, you're heading in the right direction.  If you came on your own, you will want to stop by HERE to start at the beginning of the hop!

For my Easter treats, I made an egg shaped basket with another cutie mini Tilda!  This one is more like Mary had a little lamb!!!!  She and her little friend are water colored with Distress Inks.

Don't forget, there are so many cute Easter mini's and regular size Magnolia stamps and you can find them at Magnolia-licious!   You still have time to order before Easter!!!

For this project I only used one stamp, but I did use some of my favorite DooHickey Dies too:
MINI 3030 TILDA AS SHEPHERD
17 SNOWFLAKE AND MISTLETOE - Mistletoe leaves
22 VINTAGE FLOWERS AND LEAVES DOOHICKEY DIES - Flowers
27 MAGNOLIA TREE - Leaves

These dies cut out the nicest pieces to do the flower arranging.  You can find DooHickey Dies plus even other brands of some great dies HERE.   Does Diana know us or what???!!!  She knows we like all kinds and she has many of my favorites!

The basket pattern is based on a template I found here.

Have also used some Spellbinder dies and Martha Stewart punch for the border along with some half pearls.

My poor basket is empty!!!  Have to hope the Easter Bunny will stop by with some goodies!  In fact, if you want to leave a comment, I'll randomly pick a name and have him send something to you too!  Think Chocolate, Egg Shaped Easter Card and a Tilda with Koala stamp!  Check back Saturday, March 24th to see if your name was drawn.  I'll give a few days too before I draw again.

I've added an Egg Shaped Easter easel card and have used:
MINI 268 LITTLE BUNNY TILDA
MINI 452 TWO EGGS
17 SNOWFLAKE AND MISTLETOE - Mistletoe leaves
22 VINTAGE FLOWERS AND LEAVES DOOHICKEY DIES - Flowers
27 MAGNOLIA TREE - Leaves

Also used a Spellbinders die, a corner rounder punch and Sizzix embossing folder.

Well you certainly don't want to miss what  Barb Hardeman will show you next!  She always makes such wonderful things.  Click HERE to hop on over to see what Stampelicious creation she has made for the hop!!!

Please join the challenge!  Diana always has a wonderful prize and it is wonderful to see so many talented people submit their creations too!

Thanks for stopping by and happy hopping and enjoy every day!!!

Dollop of Daisies and Butterfly Cards

I do believe this Tilda is one of the favorites from the Sweet Crazy Love Collection.  Kept this card simple to focus on the cutie with just a few daisies to accent.  Well because she is one of the favorites, it is out of stock right now, but the mini is available HERE.
Also used the DooHickey #4 Leaf and Swirl and the #15 Poinsettia Flowers dies for the greenery.  Please check with Diana for availability.  Check HERE for a wonderful variety of other dies that would work equally as well.

In addition I also used a couple of Punch Bunch flower punches and a Sizzix embossing folder.
Tilda is colored with Promarkers and the little check paper is from the 6 x 6 Magnolia Sweet Rainbow paper pack.  Cute papers!!!!
Also made a card using a Marianne Butterfly Die and the Butterfly Dreams 6 x 6 paper pack.  The regular print version of the paper is available HERE.

The heart border is the #20 Romantic Lace Border Doohickey die and used the cut out hearts to scatter across the background.  I've used my trusty Scor-Buddy to create an embossed check pattern in the background.  The label is a Spellbinders die and the word stamp is a Stampin' Up!

Please check with Diana at Magnolia-licious for these wonderful products.  Because of their popularity, they are sometimes out of stock.  Diana not only gives wonderful service and offers great products, she works very hard at doing the best she can for us.

Monday, March 19th, please follow along with the Design Team at Magnolia-licious Highlites as we Hop into Easter with a Fun Challenge!!!

Thank you so much for stopping by and love and appreciate your comments!!!

Enjoy every day!!!

Flippin' Birthday Card

Haven't made one of these for years, so it was fun to try one again.  Beate at Splitcoast has a terrific tutorial for the Swing or Flip Flop card on how to make these.  I've adjusted mine just a bit, but it was only to make the width of the rectangle in the middle smaller.

Today is a new Magnolia-licious Highlites challenge and that talented teammate Sharon has come up with a great challenge of "Move-n-Groove---have something on your project that moves, pulls, pops or opens in some way".
I've used a couple of cutie minis from Diana at Magnolia-licious along with some DooHickey dies for the flower arrangements:
MINI 241 DANCING PARTY TILDA
MINI 310 HAPPY SPRING TILDA
4 LEAF AND SWIRL DOOHICKEY DIE
7 OLD SWEDISH LACE DOOHICKEY DIE
15  POINSETTIA FLOWERS DOOHICKEY DIE
22 VINTAGE FLOWERS AND LEAVES DOOHICKEY DIES-Flowers
34 WILD STRAWBERRY AND FLOWERS DOOHICKEY DIES-Flower
26 MARIETTA BUCKLE MEMORY BOX DIE
MINI SWEET RAINBOW PAPER PACK

The MINI BUTTERFLY DREAMS PAPER PACK would be a great one to use for this too!  These small prints are perfect for our cards.

The border strips really are leftovers from the Old Swedish Lace die. These pieces left such a nice inverted scallop, I figured I had to use them!
The edges of the paper I have added some white acrylic paint.  Have also used EK Success circle,  Punch Bunch sun and MS branch punches with the flowers.  The sentiment is Stampin' Up!.  The images are colored with Touch and Promarkers.
Don't these images make you smile and feel happy!!!  Please join us in this fun challenge and make a movin' and groovin' project of your own.  The best place to shop and find all your Magnolia products plus lots of extra fun things is at Magnolia-licious!  Find all the details for this month's challenge at Magnolia-licious Highlites.

Enjoy every day!

Welcome to the Spring is Right Around the Corner Blog Hop!!!  Doesn't that sound exciting!  Even though we have had a fabulous winter here, the sound of spring coming soon is always welcome!  So glad you could stop by and follow along on our Magnolia-licious Highlites little adventure of Spring inspired projects.  I'm first up, but if you get lost along the way, please click HERE to get the list of all my wonderful teammates....you won't want to miss a single one of the fantastic creations they have made!!!!

The Tilda I've used here is #3012 Tilda with Stuffed Animal.  Sooooo sweet!!!  You can find her at Diana's terrific store Magnolia-licious!!!   Yes, I've said it before, and I'll say it again.....Terrific Selection, Terrific Service, and Terrific People!!!  Along with all your Magnolia "needs", Diana is getting more lovely dies in for us too!

On my card, I've also used a Cuttlebug embossing folder, some Spellbinder dies and some Punch Bunch, EK Success and Martha punches.  Tilda is colored with Promarkers and Touch markers with a little blue chalk for the clouds.  The  word stamp is out of a Stampin' Up! set.

Daffodils are a sure sign of spring, so I just had to have some of those on my card.  For the curious, here is a picture of the punches I used for the Daffodils.
Now I hope you will follow along and spring on over to that sweet and talented Mindy's blog because she always has such beautiful things to see!!!

Please join the challenge with your spring inspired creations too!!!  All the details are at Magnolia-licious Highlites!

Tilda with Daisy and Cuddly Siblings Cards

I've been working on cards that are kept rather simple.  Have a hard time leaving the backgrounds plain and sometimes use the embossing folders, but this time I wanted some clean lines to add a little design.

This new Sweet Crazy Love collection is so versatile and I'm lovin' all the images!!!  You can find the collection here at Magnolia-licious, and I can bet you, you will love more than one too!!!  As always, Diana has a terrific deal for you too!

Here is what I used on this card:
MINI #225 TILDA WITH DAISY
#17 SNOWFLAKE AND MISTLETOE DOOHICKEY DIES-Snowflake for Leaves
#34 WILD STRAWBERRY AND FLOWERS DOOHICKEY DIES-Small Flower
I've added the design lines with the Scor-Buddy.  A quick and easy way to add that little something to a plain background.  Have used the Spellbinder oval dies and corner punch my dear friend Marion sent me from Australia....sorry there is no name on it!  Pearls were added for accents along with the white gel pen again.

Yet another one that is just sooooo cute!!!  Again I didn't want the extras to overpower the darling image!  I think the Dream Tag, which comes with two pieces, sets off the images nicely.

More fantastic items from Magnolia-licious:

Again I used the Scor-Buddy to create the embossed lines on the left side.  So simple yet I think it adds a lot.
Now there has been some discussion as to whose shoes are whose, but I just color them all the same!!!!  It is up to you to decide!!!  :)
The images on both cards are colored with Promarkers and Touch Markers.   I have found these minis to be VERY EASY to color!!!  With any of the brush or fine tip markers, it is a cinch to color and blend.  I usually use three colors with the Promarkers and even with the small areas, there is room for that too!  I am fortunate enough to be able to get together with stamping friends often and rather than haul a bunch of things that I probably won't use, I've started bringing stamped images and my color mediums only.  Nice.......ONE container to haul!!!  Realistically I know I wouldn't get many whole cards done anyway and this way I can relax and enjoy the coloring process yet still get to see what others are working on and visit too!  Then with the CAS card style, it is so easy to cut them out in circles or ovals, do a little layer stacking and pop them on a card.  Well, okay, I usually can't leave it alone and have to add at least a few flowers, but as you can tell, it makes for a fairly easy card to put together.

I know my blog header needs to be updated to the season, but I'm hoping people look at the red flowers and think Valentine's instead of noticing the holly on the printed paper in the background!!!  :)
That's all for now.  Thanks for stopping by!

Enjoy every day!!!
