Mini Sweet Tilda

Sweet Tilda is such a cutie image.  As I've said before, love these minis to add to the A2 size cards (4 1/4" x 5 1/2").

You can find Mini Sweet Tilda HERE at Diana's Magnolia-licious.  Best place to get your Magnolia stamps for both the excellent prices and wonderful customer service.

Also used dies from Spellbinders-ovals and Cuttlebug corners and flower and leaf punches from Punch Bunch.  Watercolored Tilda with Distress Inks and added stardust and white gel pens plus Ranger Enamel Accents for the centers of the flowers.
Hope everyone has a wonderful and safe weekend!
Enjoy every day!

Who is in the Shadows?

Looking for something different to try???  There are some stamp companies that have been putting out some silhouette stamps lately and I thought we could make our Maggie stamps into silhouettes too!!!  Without looking at my supply list, can you guess which stamps I made into silhouettes on these cards?
I stamped the African sun (using this as a moon for these cards).  Since the images are going to be colored in solid anyway, it is not necessary to even mask.  Stamped the images and then colored them with a black Sharpie pen, water colored the "moon" with a little Weathered Wood Distress Ink and sponged around the edges with Faded Jeans Distress Ink.

Used Spellbinders lacey square and circle and one of the tags from the new grommet set.  Also sponged some Faded Jeans on the tag.  The Happy Anniversary stamp is a Studio G stamp.

Did you guess the right stamps?

They are:
MINI #3073 TILDA AND EDWIN DANCING
MINI #334  BROTHER AND SISTER

Just had to add a few flowers too and used Doohickey dies:
#17 SNOWFLAKE AND MISTLETOE
#22 VINTAGE FLOWERS AND LEAVES

Embossed one background with the Stampin' Up Tulip Border and the other with Cuttlebug Cassies Brocade embossing folders.  Sanded the embossed parts with a sanding block.  Added mini sun punched centers and rhinestones to the flowers and a little Stardust Stickles to the moon with white gel pen on the clouds.

You can find Magnolia stamps HERE at Diana's Magnolia-licious store.  Don't forget to look through her gallery on this website too.   There are tons of wonderful cards and projects to check out for inspiration.

Now a little challenge for you is to check out your stamps and see which ones might work good for silhouhettes.  Would love to see what you do with them, so please let me know!

Thank you for stopping by and you know I always appreciate the comments!

Enjoy every day!

Sweet Danni

A card I made quite some time ago, but just hadn't posted it!!!  Thought this stamp was from Belles 'n' Whistles, but thanks to Danni at SCS I found out it was from Susana's Custom Art and Card.  Water colored her with Distress Inks and used a Spellbinders die to cut the shape out.  The paper from DCWV-Mariposa had this pretty design on it with the butterflies, so I just cut along the edge so the Spellbinder die shape could be slid behind the butterflies.  Added a flower and leaves made with punches from Nellie Snellen, Punch Bunch and a Magnolia DooHickey die.  Added a little Stickles for some sparkle too!
Enjoy every day!

Oh my another cutie!  I colored her quite some time ago so I'm still on my mission to finish up things I've started.  And got to play with the DooHickey dies again!

Here are the direct links from Magnolia-licious:

Sorry, don't see these in right now, but please check with Diana.
#7 OLD SWEDISH LACE

There are other dies that work beautifully too right HERE.

Colored Tilda with Distress Inks.  Also used Cuttlebug Cassie's Brocade embossing folder, SU oval punch, Spellbinders oval, Punch Bunch mini sun, pearls, glaze pen.  The pattern was from sakkalo.blogspot.com which she called a zigzag card.

Just love these dies....can you tell!!!!

Enjoy every day!

New Friends

Still trying to finish up some of those started projects.  This was my attempt with the ProMarkers.  Definitely different coloring with than the Distress Inks.  I've used a Spellbinders Blossom, Martha Stewart Punches Vintage Lace and Elizabeth Bells New Friends stamp.  I used some lovely flowers that my friend Marion was kind enough to send me!  Thank you Marion!!!  Leaves are the Twig Punch by Punch Bunch and Maidenhair Fern by Leone Em.
Back with some more cards later!

Many Minis Frame

What a great way to start out March!  Wonderful hostess Janiel has given us a recipe for the March 1st Magnolia-licious Highlites challenge.  Please check HERE to see what the other Design Team members have made and also for all the details.

This is actually my 3rd Finish What You Start project!  I had been wanting to do this frame for quite some time.  I did have it cut out in different paper, but wanted to use more of the paper from the Bon Voyage collection for this project.

We are to make a frame and use at least one each of a Magnolia Image, flower, trim or ribbon and pearls or bling.  Well I sure didn't have any problem using more than one of almost everything!

I used more darling little mini's along with Magnolia paper and DooHickey dies all of which I got from the very kind  Diana at Magnolia-licious.

Direct links to the Magnolia items are:
MINI #3047 SO SPOOKY
MINI #3028 TILDA WITH THREE FLOWERS
MINI #3044 TILDA WITH FLOWING HAIR
MINI #427 LAZY SUMMER FLOWERS
BON VOYAGE PAPER PACK
#7 OLD SWEDISH LACE
#22 VINTAGE FLOWERS AND LEAVES

Water colored with Distress inks.  Also used the Penny Black verse stamp again and Spellbinders Label 4 dies along with stickles, pearls, white and stardust gel pens.  The frame was made from a die cut.

There have been so many terrific entries in the past challenges.  Please join us for this fun one too!

Enjoy every day!

Finish What You Start!

I have a terrible track record of finishing things that I've started.  I vowed I would try to at least finish a few of these started projects before I start anything new.  Well at least do a couple than start something new....can't completely change my mode of operation!!!  :)

Started a corner bookmark months ago and was trying to figure out how to be able to put it on a card but still remove it easily.  This card would work well to give someone along with a book.  The corner bookmark just slips over the corner of the card.

Of course I love using the Mini Magnolia's and well, you know I just can't get enough of punches and dies so had to use two of the new DooHickey Dies.  Thought Flying Tilda was perfect to flutter in with well wishes for someone not feeling well.  Also used the Spellbinders Lacy Circle, Circle, Tag, Cuttlebug Victorian embossing folder and Stampin' Up oval punch.

Always think everything needs dimension, so did shape the flowers and leaves even though I know they will get flattened in the book!

All the wonderful Magnolia products are HERE at Magnolia-licious!!!
Direct Links:
MINI #356 FLYING TILDA
#22 VINTAGE FLOWER AND LEAVES
#20 ROMANTIC LACE BORDER
Other Doohickey Dies can be found right HERE.

Now to go finish something else I started a long time ago!!!

Thanks for stopping by!!!  I am overwhelmed at all the wonderful comments that have been left on my projects.  Believe me they are greatly appreciated and enjoyed!!!  THANK YOU!!!
Enjoy every day!!!

Spring has Sprung!

Spring just doesn't seem to be the word that comes to mind when we look outside and the snow is blowing and drifting!  Yup another snowstorm!  Spring will be so appreciated when it does finally get here.

The Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge this month is a spring themed card with mini Magnolia's.  If you have hopped here from the talented artist Maureen, you are hopping in the right direction.  If you came on your own, you will want to stop by the Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge Blog and start from the beginning.  There too you will also find all the details to enter the challenge and have a chance to win a great Maggie prize!!!

I love this little Tilda as Shepard and thought she would go well with the Magnolia tree.  You'll find Mini #3031 Tilda with Shepard HERE.  Please check with Diana at Magnolia-licious for the Mini #454 Magnolia Tree.

These are colored with Distress Inks with white gel and glaze pens added for accents.  For the layers I've used the Spellbinders Lacey Square, Stampin' Up's Framed Tulips embossing folder, and Martha Stewarts Garden Trellis Border punch.  The tiny flowers are a Punch Bunch 5 flower corner punch.

I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to stop by and of course always appreciate your comments!!!

Now to continue on the hop, you will definitely want to go to the awesome Angie's blog HERE.  I'm sure she will have some wonderful spring eye candy for you!

Enjoy every day!!!

November Calendar Page

If you are following along on the Magnolia-licious Highlites Hop today, you have arrived from Barb Hardeman's fantastic blog.  If you have come on your own, you will want to go to Magnolia-licious Highlites to start at the beginning.

My month was November for the Calendar we had so much fun putting together for Diana.

I've used #276 Tilda With Lantern, #568 Winter Forest, #1416 Snowflakes which I got from Magnolia-licious.  Please contact  Diana at Magnolia-licious about availability on these.

All the stamps were stamped in gold pigment ink and Tilda, the words and the trees were embossed with gold embossing powder.  The frame is a Spellbinders die cut out in gold metallic paper.  The icicles and snowflakes are Martha Stewart punches.  I've punched the icicles in the gold metallic paper and also acetate.  I put Stickles on the acetate icicles.  (That's why the reflection on the photo.)  Tilda and the trees are water colored with Distress Inks.  The background paper is Magnolia Something New, Something Old.  Also used white Liquid Applique on Tilda's hat and cuffs.

The top was left open on the frame to slide a picture in as an option instead of having the words.

I'm thinking if I got started now, I could make one Tilda themed page each month and by the end of the year would have a complete calendar for next year!!!

Thanks for stopping by and following along our fun little hop.  Would love to have you take the challenge and create some calendar pages too!  All of the details are at Magnolia-licious Highlites.  And as always appreciate any comments you take the time to leave!!!
Enjoy every day!!!

Gingerbread Tilda, but not a Christmas Card

Love this Gingerbread Tilda stamp and I didn't want to just put her away.  Since she is holding a basket of hearts, I thought she could be used past the holidays too.

I've used the Spellbinders scallop and plain heart dies, Cuttlebug heart embossing folder, Hero Arts word stamp, and a Punch Bunch 5 flower punch.  Added some white gel pen, Cotton Candy Stickles and some Crystal Lacquer.

The sweet Gingerbread Tilda is right HERE  at Diana's Magnolia-licious Store.  I'm thinkin' she would go well with Easter and Mother's Day themes too!!!
Have colored her with an assortment of ProMarkers.

Thanks for stopping by!
Enjoy every day!!!

Edwin's Snowman

Happy New Year's to everyone!  Wishing you all a fun and fabulous year to come!!!

For the Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge for January 2011, Design Team member Cheryl Rowley has come up with a fun recipe challenge for us.  Click HERE to find out all the details.  You too can join in on the challenge and have a chance at free Magnolia stamps!!!

One of the parts of the recipe was using 3 pattern papers.  That was a little different for me, but luckily Mindy Baxter had sent me a Basic Grey Jovial Paper Pad, I had some wonderful pattern papers to use that went so nicely together!  She also sent the white flowers that went well with the paper too!  Thanks Mindy!!!

I've used Edwin's Snowman stamp, Miss You stamp and the Poinsettia DooHickey Die from Magnolia-licious.  Please check with Diana about Edwin's Snowman, it is from the Winter/Christmas 2007 Collection.

Water colored the Snowman with Distress Inks and paper pieced his scarf.  Cut out the ovals with a Spellbinders die, added some Stickles for a little glitz, some flowers, ribbon, cording and a charm.  Isn't this a different one using flowers with a snowman???!!!!  :)

Enjoy every day!!!

Simple Mini Maggies

I can see I am not the only one that is hooked on these Minis!!!  Sooo cute and fun to work with aren't they???!!!  Wanted to make some simple cards to give away as gifts and are easy to mail.  Us card makers are accustomed to paying higher postage to mail our extra embellished cards, but others are not use to that!!!

On this card I used a Stampin' Up! embossing folder and cut out an opening and made a frame with Nestabilities dies.  Mini Tilda With Christmas Letters is sitting on Santa's Bench and  popped up on a circle adhered to the inside of the card so it shows through the opening on the front of the card.  She is colored with ProMarkers and added Stardreams Gel pen and Crystal Lacquer for some sparkle.  These minis are the perfect size for this kind of card!
Another simple card using the adorable minis  New Years Tilda and New Years Edwin sitting on Santa's Bench.  Santa's Bench is easily transformed to be able to use any time of year too...not just the holidays.

Used a Swirl Stamp from Inkadinkadoo, Happy Anniversary stamp from Studio G, Cuttlebug embossing folder, ProMarkers, Stardust Pen and ribbon.  My favorite little Buddy tool the Scor-Buddy was used to make the embossed frame!

The very sweet Diana has recently listed even more of these cute minis from different collections!  You just have to check them out HERE at Magnolia-licious!   She does have a deal on a bundle offer too, but hurry, I believe she said the bundles were limited!  Love it.......don't have to make decisions that way!!!  And then there are gift certificates available too!

Made nine of the next card to use for Christmas cards.  So wanted to add the mini Winter Forest to the globe, but even as insane as I am, I just couldn't bring myself to cutting them out for nine cards.  I will be looking for something to stamp them on though because yup, they are so darn cute!
Loved the full size version of Tilda With Fir, so getting the mini Tilda With Fir was inevitable!  Seems like cute and adorable just go with any of these minis!

The "snow" is cut out of white glitter paper, the base of the globe is brown cardstock and scored on the Scor-Buddy.  The acetate was cut with a Sizzix Ornament die.  Little Tilda With Fir was colored with ProMarkers and used the white and Stardust gel pens to jazz things up a little.  Season's Greetings stamp by Stampendous was stamped with Black Stazon Ink directly on the acetate.  Added a little of Martha's Bakers Twine and Punch Bunch holly leaves and 1/8" circle punch berries.

I'm finding it is hard to describe these minis with words other than cute and adorable!  Anyone have any other good descriptions????!!!

Comment about the weather here in Minnesota!  Cold and White!!!  I'm beginning to only like snow in the form of paper only!!!  And it isn't even winter yet!!!!  :)

Enjoy every day!!!

It's Clearly Christmas!

Been very busy trying to get projects done, but find I can't post all of them yet or everyone will have seen them!!

Love the look of acetate cards, but it sure is hard to keep the fingerprints off the acetate and to  take photos, but thought I would try anyway!

This #3058 Jolly Tilda is such a cutie with her subtle expression and striped stockings!!!  Because she is sooo cute, understandably Diana at Magnolia-licious is out of her right now but does have her on re-order.  Don't dismay, there are still so many adorable Maggie stamps to choose from right now!

Recently acquired a few ProMarker pens and this was one of my first attempts.  Will need some practice and they are quite different than using the distress inks.

Additional supplies used are Nesties Label 11 Dies, Cuttlebug Snowflake Embossing Folder, EK Success Flower and Leaf, Punch Bunch Fern and Sun, Ribbon, Flowersoft, and Glaze Pen.

Also worked on another acetate card basically the same, but put a snowman on this one.  Saw some different variations of this snowman on Splitcoast Stampers.  Loved this version where it looks like we are kind of looking down on him from above!
One card done....only 11 to go!!!!
EDITED:  Well wasn't done with even one!  I kept looking at the nose and it didn't look right!  So fixed the card above, but left the pictures of the others.  Ha, they have all had a nose job since!!!  :)

Thanks for stopping by!!!
Enjoy every day!!!

Shaker Silent Night Tilda

This was another fun project that the very nice Barb Hardeman has challenged the Magnolia-licious Design Team to make for this month's Sketch Project.

The Magnolia things I used are from Diana at her wonderful store Magnolia-licious.

I've watercolored Tilda with Distress Inks, embellished with the white gel pen and stardust pen. Added acetate to a Spellbinder frame then popped up with foam tape to make the shaker part for the crystal snowflakes.

#3018 Silent Night Tilda
#00 Light Pink Chandelier Glass
Something Old, Something New Wedding Collection Paper
Gold Metallic Cardstock
Acetate
Spellbinders-Scalloped Edge Frame
Distress Inks-Tattered Rose, Tea Dye, Vintage Photo, Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Bundled Sage, Pumice Stone, Antique Linen
Jesse James & Co. Dress It Up Crystal Snowflakes
Gold Zig Painty Pen
White Gel Pen
Stardust Pen
Ribbon
Foam Tape and Glue Dots
Just a thought that came after I had put the card together. The #645 Silent Night Background would have been ideal to stamp in the background behind Tilda in a light gold metallic ink.

You can also play along too! Check out all the Design Team projects HERE at Magnolia-licious Highlites and see what you need to do to submit your project. It is not only fun, but you can possibly win some free stamps from Magnolia-licious!

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy every day!!!

Sweet Tingla in Bunny Slippers

Now isn't she just the sweetest with her bunny slippers and little bow in her hair!  Colored her with Distress Inks.  Used a Nestabilities Label 11, Scallop Oval and two plain Oval dies to make a frame and insert.  Sponged the frame with Stampin' Up!'s Mauve Mist ink to go with the matching paper.  Used the Cuttlebug Swiss Dot embossing folder for the background.  Added a ribbon bow and a few flowers from Martha Stewart's Hydrangea and Frond punches.   The thinking of you stamp is from Hero Arts.  Added pearls.

You can find this little Miss at Diana's Magnolia-licious store.  This stamp is from the Autumn 2010 collection and she is #336 Tingla in Bunny Slippers.

Monday, October 18th the Magnolia-licious Design Team will be having a Blog Hop.  Hope you will check it all out and join in with us.  Details will be here at the Magnolia-licious Highlites blog on Monday.

Thanks to Yvonne for the inspiration of the Nestabilities dies!

Birthday Celebration Blog Hop

This challenge for the Magnolia-licious Design Team was for Birthday Celebrations with altered project in honor of the wonderful Diana Crick of Magnolia-licious since it is her birthday this month!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY Diana!!!!

If you have come from the amazing Becca Feeken's blog, you are coming from the right direction.  If you have stopped by on your own, you might want to start at the beginning at the Magnolia-licious Highlites to read all the details about the hop.

For my card and project, I did them with the lovely new Bon Voyage Tilda!  What a sweetie!!!  Watercolored with Distress Inks.  Also love the new DooHickey dies, so used the leaf and swirls dies too!  You can find these at Diana's store Magnolia-licious here.  She has a terrific selection and if she is out of a particular stamp you are looking for be sure to check with her.

Had used all the hardware from a Stampin' Up! hardware tin, but of course saved it for a future project so it came in handy for this one.  Guess that's why I hang on to soooo much stuff!!!  :)   The tin was already turquoise, so worked the projects around that color.

Supplies I used:
#277 Bon Voyage Tilda
#4 Leaf and Swirl DooHickey Dies
Mat Mettallic Silver Card Stock
White and Turquoise Card Stock
Distress Inks:  Tattered Rose, Broken China, Pumice Stone, Tea Die
Punches:  Martha Stewart Deco Fan and Stampin' Up Ovals
     Punch Bunch Deco Flower
Spellbinder Oval die
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder Polka Dots
Ribbons, Silver Cord, Crystals
Stampin' Up! Hardware Tin
Scor-Buddy

Then to decide what to put in the jazzed up tin!  Decided to fill it with some of my flowers along with some little Prima roses and some flower centers plus an assortment of punched leaves.  All ready for a card maker to plop onto a card!

Thanks so much for stopping by and always enjoy any comments you are so kind enough to leave!

Now you get to party on over for a real treat at Suzanne Dean's blog here!  I definitely know she will have something fantastic for you to enjoy!!!

Enjoy every day!!!
