Easter Blessings Cross

Happy Easter!!!  Well a little early, but if you want to get started on your Easter projects this is the time.

I hope you are following along with the Magnolia-licious Design Team Spring/Easter Hop for some springtime inspiration.  If you came from Norma's From My Craft Room, you are hopping along the right path.  Wasn't her project fabulous???!!!  LOVE her work!  If you came on your own, you won't want to miss anybody, so go to the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog to find all the information.

For my project I've recreated a cross from a long time ago using lots of great dies from Magnolia-licious:
MINI 3078 TILDA WITH HER RABBIT
MINI 410 VINTAGE SWEDISH BACKGROUND
DH 8 DOILY FLOWERS DIES
DH 71 SPRAWLING FERN DIES
DH 61 STRAWBERRY DIE
MB 05 SMALL DEBUTANTE FRAME DIE
MB 122 SMALL ALDER TREE DIE
MB 203 NORRLAND FLOWER DIE
MB 206 LOVELY ASTER DIE

The dies have so much versatility.  Can you figure out where I used the strawberry die?
The stand is created by folding back the sides.  The Scor-Buddy works great for scoring the lines for this part.  Diana has a wonderful package deal HERE.  The stand also makes a spot to put a message.  I've printed this on the computer and then added the sweet mini Magnolia stamps.
So have you guessed where I used the strawberry die yet?  It is the lily flowers and leaves!  You can see below how I've trimmed the petals.  For the leaves, just trace on green paper and cut out.  I drew lines on the green piece to show how to cut the leaves from this.  The yellow centers are just a 1" square cut with narrow strips almost to the edge and then coiled.
The following is the pattern I've used to get the three layers for the cross.   It should help with the dimensions if you want to try it yourself.  Just a note, you might want to trim the bottom of the stand a little, so it leans back just a tad.  With all the flowers on the front, it gets a little front heavy.
With all the die cutting I do, the eBosser has been such a fabulous tool.  Love the fact that I can emboss and cut things on the larger format and really didn't think I needed the electronic part, but found that is soooo nice to have!!!  You  can check out the eBosser and accessories HERE!  Also love that you can do a full sheet of card stock in the A4 embossing folders.  I used the Teresa Collins Beautiful Brocade embossing folder on the top layer.  This folder came with my machine.

Thank you for stopping by and wishing you a Happy Easter and Spring!!!  Be sure to hop along to Katie Tate's  Both Sides of the Paper blog!  She is so creative has the cutest basket with a tutorial for you too!!!

Enjoy every day!
