Pearlized DooHickeys

I based this on a wedding card I recently made, but wanted to use the awesome Magnolia DooHickey dies. Love the lacey flower, snowflake, leaves and the cute little dragonfly. With the pearlized paper and of course being all white, the photo didn't work very well with my lighting, but will have to try in natural light and see if I can make it show up better.

The pearlized paper has a little design to it too. All the dies are available from that nice Diana at Magnolia-licious. Click HERE to go to the store.

#17 Snowflake/Mistletoe
#6 Bon Voyage Foliage
#7 Old Swedish Lace
#8 Doily Flowers
#9 Dragonflies
Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder
Pearl

A tip when using the dies, if you have trouble with the paper sticking in the die, use a piece of wax paper between the die and paper. I've been able to leave the wax paper in the die, but if it comes out, it still helps make the paper come out easier.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the day!!!

SCS May's Flower Challenge MAY10VSNG

Still had this Jasmyn Bo Bunny DP out from the last card and love it, so thought I would try out a new Flourishes Sizzlet die and the new Cuttlebug quilling die for a Flower challenge over at Splitcoaststampers.  This paper is so pretty, almost a shame to put anything over it!

Also used an EK Whale of a Punch Retro Flower punch, Punch Bunch Twig and Butterfly punches and Martha Stewart branch punch with two Stampin' Up! circle and a border punches.  Just can't use enough punches!!!

Appreciate you stopping by and enjoy the day!!!

Angie's Challenge

This was a card made from supplies that Angie sent.  It was fun to try this challenge and use only what she sent.  Thanks Angie!!!

Used the Morocco Lace border punch by EK Success along with the Spellbinders Fleur de Lis pendant.  Also used EK daisy, McGill branch, Punch Bunch twig punches.  Added some pearls and a satin ribbon for embellishments.

Porcelain Flowers

Made a card for a special friend Mary celebrating a special birthday!  Pieces are punched out and coated in Crystal Lacquer.

Kelli Purkey  who has made some fabulous porcelain look pins and Jerri Jimenez whose work is beyond gorgeous has inspired me to try this technique.  They both are such awesome artists!

Blogging is not for the Indecisive!!!

So after a week of off and on, changing this or that, moving and shuffling, learning widgets, whatsits and whosits, I'm putting on a few more of my original floral cards.

Friend Marion recommended that I increase the size of the image enlargements, so attempting that even though now all the glue oozes, wrinkles, smudges and other unintentional embellishments will show up much better!!!

Speaking of Marion, check out her blog here to see her winning entry in the Spellbinders Pendant Contest! Woohoo, Congratulations Marion! Also check out all her other wonderful creations! Amazing!!!

Shaker Tag

More gold beads but in a shaker tag this time.

Thank You Card

Used little gold beads for the centers.

Before Cuttlebug and Nesties

Star Dreams paper is one of my favorite papers!

Have to start someplace!!!

Pink Flowers

Just the beginning and hadn't learned much about shaping yet!

Vellum Flowers

The white flowers were punched from a cloudy vellum.

Joining the Blogging World

Thought I would join the blogging world because I don't spend enough time playing on the computer! Ha!!!

Since making flowers out of paper is one of my favorite card making passions, I'm going to start with posting some of my first flower cards. Things have come a long way with so many new punches over the
years!

For this one, found some great embossed paper and used a little yellow chalk on the ivy leaves.

Oh my, brings back memories. That first time I put the paper shaper tool to a punched piece of paper and the flower petals magically curled up! I was hooked!!!
