Magnolia-licious Birthday Box

Happy 2nd Birthday Magnolia-licious!!!

Wow! Today I’m so excited to participate for the first time in the Magnolia-licious monthly blog hop and challenge as guest designer! This month it is a fun explosion box with a Birthday or Anniversary theme to celebrate two years for the Magnolia-licious Yahoo Group! If you have come from Suzanne’s magnificent blog, you are on the right path.

If you just happened to stop by my blog, you can always hop on over to a blog created just for the Birthday Bash Celebration or the Magnolia-licious Highlites blog to see how all this works and start from the beginning.

This is such a fun project! I like to keep the outside of the box rather simple, so it is a nice surprise when the box is opened.  Love the "floaty" things!!!

Supplies for my box are:
#266 Tilda on Elbows
#408 Jungle Flowers
#434 Tip Leaves
#1405 Fairytale Butterfly
#1407 Dragonfly
Happy Birthday Stamp from Stampin' Up!
Background Paper by DCWV
Arch Lattice Border Punch by Martha Stewart
Assortment of Ranger Distress Inks: Scattered Straw, Mustard Seed, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick, Spiced Marmalade, Peeled Paint, Forest Moss, Fired Brick, Antique Linen, Vintage Photo, Black Soot, Pumice Stone
Added some Yellow and Diamond Stickles for the shimmer and shine!
Strips of acetate to "float" my sign and flowers
Foam Tape to pop up flowers
Of course, I’ve used the Scor-pal for scoring my lines when making the box. Can’t do a project or card without it! You can find Scor-pals here

You can find a huge selection of these wonderful Magnolia stamps here at Diana’s store! Not only can you order these terrific stamps and other Magnolia things, you are working with a fantastic person! Always helpful and so generous!!! Diana really helps us fulfill our need to add to our collections!!!

Would anyone like a free Maggie stamp???  How about Longing Tilda!  She is such a cutie!!!  She is another one like Tilda on Elbows that so cleverly puts her hand at her chin.  Anyone have an idea why she might be doing that?  Marion knows!!!  Just leave a comment and I'll do a random drawing on May 22nd at midnight CDT.  Would love to have you sign up as a follower if you haven't already.

Now you’ll want to hop on over to visit the very sweet and oh so talented Barb to see what wonderful creation she has made to share!

There will be lots of challenges, projects and prizes to come for the next 8 weeks. Hope you'll join us for the fun!!!

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the hop!!!

Love your "Explosion Box" the colors are gorgeous. When you open the box it reminds me of when I was a little girl laying in a meadow of wild flowers and day dreaming about my future and watching the butterflies flutter around.

I think "Longing Tilda" is day dreaming about her "Prince Charming"
