Easter Blog Hop---It's Not a Card!!!

I bet you've seen so many creative ideas on your way through the Easter Themed  Magnolia-licious Blog Hop!  If you've come from Janiel's Blog, you are hopping along the path!!!  Wasn't her hat and purse just adorable and perfect for a little girl on Easter?!!!  If you came on your own to my blog, I hope you will want to follow along and see all the other wonderful creations of the Design Team.  Click HERE to go to the Magnolia-licious and Wee Stamps Challenge Blog.

Years ago, I stamped on fabric with some inks designed for fabric stamping, but was not overly impressed with it.  I wanted to try it again because I heard that the alcohol ink markers worked well on fabric!  Well have to say, I had a lot of fun doing it.  Takes some practice and I still need to practice some more, but here are my attempts.

I've used the lovely 363 TILDA AND HER BUNNY from my favorite internet store Magnolia-licious.  She has been stamped on some muslin fabric.  I put an iron-on interfacing on the back before I attached it to a little hand towel I made.  Made the towel out of some fabric I had on hand, so not sure how well it will work for an actual towel, so think it is really for decoration.  I also added some lace trims I had in my stash.
Well I sure had fun with this and also had a little purse/basket pattern I wanted to try making, so....
This bag can be a little egg shaped basket or can be made into a purse.  With a closure on the top, it does make a darling little bag.  Again I stamped Tilda on some muslin, this time it is SUMMER FLOWER TILDA.  Sorry, she is out right now, but the mini is available HERE or any of our favorite Tilda's will do!!!

I've colored the Tilda's with ProMarkers and Spectrum Noir Pens.  Just a couple of tips:  color very lightly and do not color to the line.  The ink wicks (bleeds) quite a bit depending on how wet the pens are.  I still need some practice because I have some "halos" around some areas that I did not intend!!!  The blender pen did help to clean up some, but it is better not to over ink.  I tried a little bleach, and that did nothing.  The images were stamped with a black Memento Ink, the same as I use on paper with alcohol based pens.

So maybe you've wanted to try stamping and coloring on fabric. You can find lots of fantastic deals on fun things at Diana's Magnolia-licious store!!!  There are some wonderful new DooHickey dies and I also love the Wee Stamps she is now carrying!  She is always adding new products and has great customer service!

Remember for each comment you leave on a DT gal's blog (1 comment per blog, per post) you get entered to win the Surprise Prize this week.  It counts for your comments on all Mini Monday, Tuesday Challenge posts, and Wee Wednesday posts too...so lots of ways to get entered!  Winners are announced each Wednesdays.  All the details are HERE!

Now you will want to hop along over to Sheri's Blog!  She has such a creative decoration  project to show you that you will not want to miss!

Thanks so much for hopping by!  Enjoy every day!!!
