Let Us Give Thanks Mother to Be!
EDITED: I've added yet another version...check it out below!
I knew when this challenge came up, I had to find a "different" one to alter to cover two events or occasions. We have a 2 for 1 challenge at Magnolia-licious Highlites where we are to take one image and create two different themes. If you came from Suzanne's blog, you are on the right trail and I'm sure she has shown you something extra-special. If you came on your own, you can go to Suzanne's or to the Magnolia-licious Highlites blog to get the list and all the details how you can join in too!
The Tilda #245 Mother to Be stamp was rather fun to change from an expectant Mother congratulations card to a Thanksgiving card with Tilda carrying a pumpkin. Did it make you giggle? The thought of other than carrying a baby came about when I first colored the Mother to Be with a green dress and I was thinking watermelon!!! Or maybe it is just me!!! :)
I've used the pretty #245 Mother to Be image and colored her with Promarkers. The dotted paper is Doodlebug which I embossed with a Tim Holz embossing folder and then sanded the embossing. The word stamp is Hero arts and these are punched out with circle punches. I've added some Spellbinder corners with some EK Success punched flowers and leaves. Tilda has some pearl accents made from the Viva Pearl Pen.
Then I colored her again with the Promarkers and added some striped leggings and a long sleeve shirt! In this neck of the woods, in most cases a short sleeve dress wouldn't be warm enough at Thanksgiving time. I've added an Imagination verse for the banner, EK border punch on the edges of the Cuttlebug embossing folder. I've tapped Versamark on the embossed part to make it stand out better and added some EK and Punch Bunch punched leaves for a fall look. The little tendrils on the pumpkin are just wire that has been wrapped around a skewer for shaping.
Be sure to check out the fantastic specials and new items that Diana has over at Magnolia-licious! She has terrific prices and extra special things for us along with their awesome service!!! Stock up on the cuties in the Halloween/Fall mini bundle HERE at a great price!!!
You will enjoy the creativity of the rest of the team, so be sure to go to Mary Giemza's blog and see something very special. She is so creative!!! Hope you will join the challenge!
ADDITION:
Had to try one more!
Tilda and Edwin are both good bowlers!!!! I googled bowling pins and bowling score forms on the internet to come up with my background paper and the pins. Tilda is colored with Promarkers and cut out and popped up with foam tape.
Would love to see what you can create, please join the challenge at Magnolia-licious Highlites! Diana has a Magnolia-licious Special Surprise for a lucky winner and you know she always gives wonderful prizes!!!
Enjoy every day!
Patti Jo

OMGoodness, this is so creative, Patti Jo. I love how you made Tilda hold a pumpkin in the alternate card and gave her colored clothing. So clever. Gorgeous coloring on both images and they are just dolls!

WOW !!! That doesn't even look possible to change one stamp into something so COMPLETELY different ... Wish my brain worked like that... Patti Jo these are both just incredible. I'm still smiling looking at how you turned that big ole tummy into a pumpkin. I just love it & adding stripes to her arms & legs to "dress" her for Fall is pure genius.Hugs, Janie
How very clever! Love that pumpkin!

Patti Jo, both cards are gorgeous, but altering this Tilda for Thanksgiving is just brilliant. It made me chuckle, but at the same time I was in awe. Fabulous imaginative mind you have! Beautiful colouring and love the little details.

Linda
Both cards are gorgeous! I love the thanksgiving one and how you made it look like tilda was carrying a pumpkin. SO CUTE!!! I had so much fun playing along with the challenge. I've already added my birthday card and Christmas tag using Sneaky Tilda in the link on the challenge blog. Off to see what the rest of the DT has created! Thanks for the inspiration!! Gotta get this stamp!!!!
OMW I thought the first two cards were really great but this one takes the praise. Great to turn Tilda's belly into a bowling soooo cute.
hugs Linda
Patti, I love the first two - but I must say the third one is PRICELESS!
Almost enough to make me buy that stamp just to add a bowling ball...... Love them all.
~ rubber hugs ~
Oh my gosh, I thought turning Mommie to be into Tilda holding a pumpkin was clever, but the bowling ball is even more imaginative. Way to go, girl. I definitely need to start looking at my stamps differently. I'm such a darn "literal" person :-( This has really been a fun challenge, and the DT have really outdone themselves.
Wow Patti Jo, you sure don't disappoint! Love the double cards and the way Mama goes from pregant to carrying a pumpkin which is so colorful. Both are absolutely gorgeous annd so stunning each in their own way. You did a great job as usual!
Hugs, Jean
That is AWESOME!!!!
