Zen Viking Tilda

Did I catch your interest with the title???  Well this certainly was a card to make for the fun of it!  When I saw there was a Viking Tilda, even though I am not a sports fan, the state football team is the Vikings and the color is purple and gold.  Surprised I knew that Lin???  :)   I had seen zentangling before, but Diana has been talking to me about it and how she enjoys it, so I had to give it a little try!  Oh boy, as if I didn't putz enough on a card!!!  She is right though, it is rather relaxing and quite addicting!  Ya, like I need another addiction too!!!

So anyway, I've used this new fun image #302 VIKING TILDA along with the #500 EDWIN'S KNIGHT CASTLE.  Over at Magnolia-licious, Diana has these not only discounted, but you get store credit besides!!!
First I colored with Promarkers and then I tangled with a fine tip black Micron pen.  I just divided the dress in some wavy sections and then just started doodling.  I've done this in the dress, her "horns", on the sword, the bushes and added lines to the roofs too!

Yes, I do need to change my blog header!!!  Hopefully soon!!!

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy every day!!!
Patti Jo

Hi Patti Jo!
Well I must say that this doodling...oops I mean zentangle is very effective. Fabulous job in the design. I think I like it better with all the pattern on her outfit. I love your coloring and the embossed background. Hmmm had the sewing machine out as well.
Love it.

Oh, holy cow! You drew all those fabulous lines in her dress???? What a gorgeous job you did on this! I have never heard of this techniques before, but ya know, it just might work well on some of Tilda's rather plain dresses! Beautiful job...hugs...Barb <><

Oh WOW Patti Jo, this is just tooo gorgeous.. I ADORE all your zentangle doodles on Viking Tilda's dress. It is just so stunning and so perfect for that era.. You did such a beautiful job and I bet it took a long time to do it that you deserve a special award for the most dramatic costume. Love the colors, the layout and the thought of incorporating your state football team.. A brilliant idea all around. Great Job!!
