Graduation Time for the Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge

Since June is known for graduations, I figured it is a good time to use the mini graduation stamps.  The talented Janiel is our hostess this month and has challenged us to use only mini Magnolia's on our projects for the Magnolia-licious Highlites DT Challenge.

This is the inside of the graduation hat card and gift holder.  Simple and plain, but does the trick.  Money or a gift card can be tucked into the pocket on the bottom.

I've used Mini #295 Graduation Tilda, Mini #705 Dreams and Goals and Mini #701 Congratulations! which you will find at the outstanding store of Diana....Magnolia-licious.

Have also used Spellbinders dies and some gold star stickers.  Tilda is watercolored with Distress Inks.

This is the front of the card.  I colored a silver brad with a navy blue alcohol marker to get the right color and added a gold tassel.

These two photos show how the card collapses to become flat.  No 3D flowers on this one!!!

I'm sorry, I did not mark down where I originally got the idea.  Probably Splitcoast Stampers, but here is a diagram of how the card is made.
The bottom layer is made by overlapping and adhering the two pieces on either side of the cut line.  The back panel piece is only adhered onto the upper triangle piece.  The Scor-Pal is ideal for making these score lines.

Hope you will join the challenge of using only Mini Magnolia's on your project and link it HERE at the Magnolia-licious Highlites blog.  You can also check out what fabulous prize you could win!

Enjoy every day!
Patti Jo

Patti-Jo, this is a brilliant idea. I like the combination of the hat/card and gift card holder. Love your design—I think it’s perfect for graduation. Very elegant looking (graduation is serious…no frilly stuff…we mean business here!,,,LOL). Anyway, you did a terrific job on this. My nieces graduate next year, so I will keep this in mind. TSF.
Hugs,
Norma

PS. Looks like this is a busy week for you with your classes. Are you enjoying teaching?
