A Sailin' We Will Go!

What a fun theme to have for this month's Magnolia-licious Blog Hop....Nautical!!! Perfect with the new Bon Voyage Stamps.

You may have sailed here from Angie Hunt's wonderful blog, then you are right on track. If you stopped by on your own, you can go to Magnolia-licious Highlites blog to find the list to start from the beginning. Plus there is information on how you can join in on the challenge too!

Loved this porthole with the ship sailing and the curling waves! Adorable little pelican too!

Embossed the images and words in Silver Embossing Powder and colored with the Distress Inks. The background paper is Magnolia Blue Starlit from Once Upon a Time collection. So versatile. Sponged some Antique Linen and also some Broken China on the paper to tie in with the rest of the scene. Added some mesh and silver cording along with using Silver Mirror Cardstock. Highlighted the ship and waves with Crystal Lacquer and used a Glaze White Pen for the clouds and wave crests. Of course, need that 3D look, so pieces are popped up with foam tape.

Supplies:
Magnolia Stamps and DP:
#666 Sea Background
#413 Pelican
#446 Sea Shells
#604 Hawser
#739 The Tide Always Turns
Fairytale Paper Pack Blue Starlit
Mirror Silver Card Stock
Versamark Ink Pad and Silver Embossing Powder
Distress Inks: Antique Linen, Broken China, Faded Jeans, Dusty Concord, Stormy Sky, Weathered Wood, Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain, Pumice Stone, Scattered Straw
Crystal Lacquer
Mesh
White Glaze Pen
Silver Cord
Foam Tape
Scor-Buddy

You can click on the words above to take you directly to the stamps or paper or you can go directly to Diana's fantastic Magnolia-licious Store for these stamps and tons more of the Maggie-licious stamps and products! Diana is taking pre-orders for the Bon Voyage and new Travel stamps. Oh there are some real cuties coming!!!

Be sure to check out the new Scor-Buddy too! Love the Scor-Pal and now have the companion for it! Another "can't be without" tool!!! So handy and comes with a very nice zippered bag to keep it protected. Find it here.

Hope you are enjoying the summer and thanks for stopping by and joining the blog hop! Thank you too for taking the time to leave a comment. It is so encouraging and very much appreciated!!!

Next sail on over to see Barb Hardeman's terrific creativity on her blog here. She always makes such beautiful cards and projects!!!

Enjoy the day!!!

I love how you embossed with the silver. The shells look great and the coloring is perfect. I think he is a baby pelican don't you? He is so cute. Love the layout. Love the netting behind. The Magnolia paper suits the card so well.
