Bling, Bling, Bling

Front of Portfolio

Inside of Portfolio-holds envelopes and cards

For Week 5 of the Magnolia-licous Yahoo Group Birthday Bash challenge, it is all about bling!!!  So pulled out the Pearl pen, rhinestones, and glitter glue and some things I've been wanting to use including some of the Tilda's from the Fairytale Collection.  Rather unusual for me, but did not add any flowers because wanted the beautiful Magnolia Fairytale Design Paper to show along with the pretty little Tildas!  You can find these at Diana's store Magnolia-licious.  If she is out, there are a huge number of other lovely Magnolia stamps to get you by till she gets more in!!!

This pattern for a wonderful portfolio that holds cards and envelopes is called Simple Friendship from Andrea Walford.

A note on the beautiful Magnolia design papers, they are not just thin paper, they are more like a lightweight card stock and are gorgeous.  They come in 12 x 12 size and the outside edge has the white distressed look.  When I cut the pieces down, I just took some white acrylic paint on a sponge and dabbed the newly cut edges to match.

This project was so fun to make and also got a chance to do some more coloring.  I love using the Distress Inks and the palette makes it so handy.   It is not only a working palette it is a handy color chart and storage for leftover inks.  If you are interested in getting one of these, contact Jackie here for the information.

Thanks for stopping by!  What is your favorite bling product???
Hope you'll join in on the Birthday Challenge too!
Enjoy the day!!!

Patti Jo, This is so pretty. I can see giving it to your favorite person. It is a big project but more realistic to make for people like me. I don't have lots of time to spend on one project, but I like to buy lots of Magnolia stamps. I can split it up into several different projects too. Thanks for all the great ideas, they are beautiful! Laura

Hi Patti Jo! This is the most beautiful project I've see for the birthday bash, there's a lot of love in this one and it shows. Your Tilda's are wonderful and I love your colouring, it's so expert. The papers are superb I agree, I nearly bought the green one the other day, wish I had now :D. Your card folder is such a great idea all full of Tilda's...couldn't be more perfect. Hope you're well and speak to you soon. Hugs, Chris

This is amazing!! So beautiful and so much detail, and beautiful colours - a real treasure! Did you make the portfolio from scratch or was it a ready-made blank? It would make a lovely pressie for someone special (though they'd have to be VERY very special to receive such a work of art!) Thank you also for your sweet comment on my blog:-) Best wishes, Charlotte
