Kitchen Tilda with Yummy Recipe

Needed to make a recipe card and used the darling Kitchen Tilda.  I took a couple of pictures so you can see the whole recipe.  This is some very Yummy pudding!!!

Colored Tilda with Distress Inks:  Vintage Photo for the hair and shoes, Pumice Stone for the socks, Walnut Staine for the spoon, Barn Door for the ribbon, Tattered Rose for the skin, used a combination for the Apron of Scattered Straw, Mustard Seed and Antique Linen, combined Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint and Crushed Olive for the skirt and scarf. 

Not my usual colors, but used some leftover DP's and made a pocket to slide the recipe into.  It was fun to go out of my "box" to try something different with different colors.  #386 Kitchen Tilda can be found here at Magnolia-licious store.

Longing Tilda Winner

I can see many of you that answered the question about a hand being strategically placed under the chin for a picture came up with the sweet idea of Tilda longing for Edwin! You are all romantics!!! :) Well that is a good thought, but Sue at Card Crazy came up with the closest when she was talking about waiting for cookies!!! It is to cover up extra chins (from too many cookies) when you get your picture taken!!! Thanks to Marion from Australia for that lovely tip!!!

Stampscapes at Sunset

Stampscapes are such wonderful stamps to work with.  This turned out with almost a Thomas Kincaid look.  Used daubers to do the sky with the Distress Inks, but used a brush with water and the Distress Inks to fill in the water, cabin and trees.

This was such a fun stamp to color!  Used the Distress Inks again and added a little shimmer and shine too although that doesn't show up so well!  Her hair bow is cut out and popped up.

Magnolia-licious Birthday Box

Happy 2nd Birthday Magnolia-licious!!!

Wow! Today I’m so excited to participate for the first time in the Magnolia-licious monthly blog hop and challenge as guest designer! This month it is a fun explosion box with a Birthday or Anniversary theme to celebrate two years for the Magnolia-licious Yahoo Group! This is such a fun project! I like to keep the outside of the box rather simple, so it is a nice surprise when the box is opened.  Love the "floaty" things!!!

Paris Tilda by the Front Steps

A little into the fall colors, but just needed to color this fun scene and adorable Tilda!

Was asked recently if I use the pads or reinker bottles.   I use the reinker bottles because it is easier to pick up the ink with the brush and get the full strength color.  The pads can be used too though.  They can be wiped onto something plastic and the ink picked up from that.  Whenever I get a new ink pad, if there is a reinker available, I get that at the same time.  Always ready for re-inking the pad and then the reinker bottle ink is available for other uses too!

Another question is which colors I use the most, and have to say honestly, I make use out of ALL the colors available and also love blending them.  For the Magnolia images of course you need the skin and hair colors and for the scenes the blues, greens, yellows and browns, but then you need some reds, oranges and purples plus the black for shading to throw in here and there too!  See....ALL of them!!!

Tilda Waiting for you by the Gate

Thought this Tilda with Flower would go nicely with the #648 Open Gate.  She is so sweet looking and she is from the 2008 Spring/Summer collection.  Love the flower vine on this Gate stamp which is from the new Fairytale collection.  You can find many, many more stamps at Magnolia-licious.  Just click here.  Sorry, these are out right now, but Diana has them on re-order.

Edit:  Can't tell from the front on photo, but Tilda is cut out and popped up with foam tape.   I made a slit by the fence to tuck the corner of her dress into, so it looked like she was standing a little behind it.
