Star Dreams Birthday Card

Dr. Monday MD day!!!  This is a card I made for a special person for their birthday!  I need to work on getting more cards out, but for some reason, I get so behind.  Get distracted too easily these days!!!

Magnolia-licious is the place to find the following:

Have used oval Spellbinder dies and a Cuttlebug embossing folder along with pearls and some twine for accents.  If items are out of stock, please check with Diana for availability.
Here I used the Star Dreams paper and card stock.  I love using it, it embosses and cuts so nice and the pearlized paper is so gorgeous, but, it is difficult to photograph.  It also stamps differently with ink.  It stamped what I will call softly.  I decided to go with it and colored with the Promarkers too.

Barb Hardeman also has some darling projects for an inspiration prescription! Be sure to take a peek!

Please check the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog for all the fun things going on there.  Leaving comments on the Design Teams posts gets a chance at winning some nice prizes!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Enjoy every day!

Happy Day Tilda Pocket

Wanted to use some of the great dies from the 1st Doohickey Die Club.  Check and see if Diana has any of the 1st Club set left.  Also, I would suggest to order the 2nd Club set of Christmas theme before they are gone.  There are only a limited amount and cannot be re-ordered.  Click HERE.

I used the MINI 231 TILDA AS A STAR, but of course, any of the sitters will do!!!  Thought the pocket was a fun thing to be able to tuck things in and the seaweed die makes wonderful wavy leaves in an arrangement.  The border die I used for the top and bottom was actually a wave die, but I used the leftover piece of it that made a really nice scallop.  Stars work nicely for flowers!!!
These were the dies I used and there were many more in the 1st Club kit.

Check out Barb's Stampelicious blog to see the cute card she created with a screen door!

Please stop by the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog and catch the details for the latest Challenge and get inspiration from the gals on the Design Team.  You'll find so many fun items at Magnolia-licious and there are always new things coming in too!

Thanks so much for all the lovely comments, they are greatly appreciated!!!  Thank you for stopping by and Enjoy Every Day!!!

Corner Flip Card With Tilda

Saw a card with a similar design and thought it would be perfect to showcase a Mini Tilda!  Another project for Dr. Monday MD (minis and dies).  Of course, I always love trying out different dies.

Find these and other magnificent things at Magnolia-licious:
MINI 377 VIOLET TILDA
MB 54 PRIMULA BLOOMS DIES
DH 19 MINI ZIG ZAG AND SCALLOP DIES
See it is just the corner that flips up.  I did a partial cut with a Spellbinders die, then cut to the fold with a scissors.  The background papers ere from an old My Mind's Eye pad.  Didn't see till too late, but could have sanded the edges of the flowers, so they stood out from the paper a little more.  I can see this Primula Blooms die is going to have lots of uses....a nice variety of small flowers.
Another sweetie mini colored with Promarkers!!!  So quick and easy to color and add to a card!

Be sure to stop by Barb Hardeman's blog Stampelious to see her creative ideas!  She has been the master of boxes lately and they are all so cute!!!  This week she has an adorable card.  And also check the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog to see what is going on there.  We would love to have you join in on the challenges.  Diana always has such generous prizes and the gals on the design team have such awesome inspirational ideas!  So join in and show us some of your stuff!!!

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy every day!!!

Mistletoe Tilda Card

Experimenting with a few things!  I colored the Mistletoe with alcohol markers and used the Shabby Embossing Enamel for the first time.  Will need a little practice, but one Christmas card done!!!  This is  my project for the Dr. Monday MD  (Minis and Dies)!

Check in to Magnolia-licious to find the things I used:
MINI 353 CHRISTMAS EVE TILDA
DH 16 MISTLETOE BORDER DIE
DH 64 WAVE LACE DIE
DH 27 SO WRAPPED MERRY CHRISTMAS

Used just half of the Merry Christmas tag, but this is a nice die to make the folded over tag and put an extra message inside too.  Coloring the Mistletoe with the markers was really easy and gives such a different look than just a colored card stock.  Love the Wave Lace border die due to the fact it can be used for waves or scallops...just depends what side of the card stock you use!  Tilda is colored with Promarkers and had a chance to try out the Stampin' Up Blendabilities.  I like the red combo that I didn't have in the Promarkers.

Check in on what is happening at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog and join in.    Christmas in July Challenge     Good way to get started with Christmas cards too!

Thanks for stopping by and Enjoy Every Day!!!

Curved Tunnel Card

Here we have another Dr. Monday MD (minis and dies) with a prescription for a fun card making project.  Thought I would pull out an old style of card we use to make years ago.  That old saying what's old is new again.  Hmmm, does that work for us too???!!!    I don't recall there was a name for this card, so I'm just calling it a curved tunnel card.  It has three layers and you look through openings to see your focal point.  There are more pictures later that should help to see how it is constructed.

Of course I gathered some of the wonderful dies and a mini Tilda from Diana's Magnolia-licious online store:
MINI WW 10 NEW YEAR TILDA
DH 64 WAVE LACE BORDER DIE
DH 4 LEAF AND SWIRL DIES
DH 34 WILD STRAWBERRY AND FLOWERS DIES
DH 71 POINSETTIA DIES
MB 89 LARGE CIRCLE BURST DIE
MB 82 PRECIOUS HEARTS DIE
Just a note about the Wave Lace Border Die.  When you cut with this border, you are cutting two edges at the same time.  One edge will be the scallop look that I used and the other edge is a wave design that would be great to use for water.  I love it when we get dual use out of a die!!!  Also there are dies that have a Daisy and also a Butterfly hanging from the bow.  Such cute accent pieces!!!  You get two sizes in each set.

The card is made with a layer of Vellum on top and I've used the Large Circle Burst die for that opening.  Love the look!!!  The next layer I embossed with a Crafts-Too Leaves embossing folder, but any embossing designs would work great!  The last layer I used the Bee Paper that I like to use for coloring with the alcohol markers.  Top Layer is 4 1/4" x 6 1/2", Middle Layer is 4 1/4" x 7 1/2" and the Back Layer is 4 1/4" x 8 1/2"   If you want this to fit in a Business Size Envelope, use 4" rather than 4 1/4".
The side edges are held together with a string tie/bow or a ribbon can be used.  One side will not be tied when it is put into an envelope so it will lie flat. The ends are lined up together and holes are punched for the ties.
Top view with both ends tied.  Hope you'll give it a try, it really is very easy!

Be sure to check out the specials Diana has at Magnolia-licious.  Always a great deal and lots of fun things!  And see what is going on at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog for you to join in on.

Enjoy every day!
Patti Jo
