Not sure if this is really "HOT", but fire is what came to my mind for the Some Like It Hot theme at Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog. Had fun with this easel card!
I've been wanting to try this using vellum with a battery operated candle behind it. Wasn't sure if the camera would catch the flickering light, but it actually did. The vellum is a little tricky to color on since it tends to puddle. I had stamped on the vellum and also on another piece of white paper. I cut the fire and the sky off the white piece and colored on the white and also the fire and trees on the vellum with Promarkers. Used a little white gel pen in the clouds and Edwin is on white paper colored with Promarkers. Added a couple of grapevine twigs I had with wire.
You can find Edwin and the background at our wonderful Diana's Magnolia-licious store:

You clever gal. You always come up with different things. Very creative.
Your colouring on this one is awesome. Love the design with the vellum, love the distressed edging and the candle behind the fire.

Fantastic card and I love the candle idea..Loz
Beautiful card, Patti Jo. Wonderful scene--I think this two images were made for each other--but it's still one of those that I haven't managed to do yet...LOL. Gorgeous colouring. Brilliant idea using the candle. The fluorescent looking fire looks fab. I bet this looks cool in real life.
