Edwin and His Friend

Here with Edwin and his little friend Tin Tin for Dr. Monday MD at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog.

Find the stamps and dies at Diana's fantastic online store Magnolia-licious
MINI A2 EDWIN WITH TIN TIN THE DOG
PS 838 MINI PICKET FENCE DIE
MB 122 SMALL ALDER TREE DIE
or MB  143 GRAND ALDER TREE DIE

I've used the small alder tree here, but the Grand Alder would work just as well.  I've given a link to both.  Been a while, but colored Edwin and Tin Tin with Distress Inks.  Fun to get a paintbrush in hand again!  Found some "doggy type" papers to use on this card although I covered up all the paw prints in the dark brown background.  Did find I had some paw print brads though.

This Edwin is part of the Animals of the Year Collection and there are so many adorable images in this collection.  Love the dragons!!!

Since I am such a fan of dies, I was so excited to see a Magnolia Doohickey Die Club package offered.  Ordered it right away because this will be limited.  My understanding is you won't be able to buy these secret dies individually later and even if we could, this is still a great buy!  This is a pre-order and limited, so I would suggest to get on board right away if you are interested.  Click HERE!!!

Finally enjoying some lovely weather.  Hope everyone else is too!  Thanks for stopping by!  Remember comments left are in the drawing for a surprise prize from Diana.
Enjoy every day!

Vintage Sneaky Tilda Card

For my Dr. Monday MD card this week for the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog, I played with the new pre-made flowers along with some roses like I made on the last card.

Here are the fun products from Magnolia-licious:
MINI A20 SNEAKY TILDA
PS 816 SMALL MADISON WINDOW DIE
DH 22 VINTAGE FLOWERS AND LEAVES DIES
MB 122 SMALL ALDER TREE DIE
F17 VINTAGE GRASS
F2 FORGET ME NOT FLOWERS-LIGHT BLUE
F4 FORGET ME NOT FLOWERS-WHITE
F12 GREEN TRANSPARENT LEA
ANIMAL OF THE YEAR PAPER PACK

Again the roses were made using the Vintage Flower dies.  The Green Transparent Leaves worked nicely for my background for the flowers and loved the Vintage Grass to tuck in for some height and filler.  The Transparent Leaves were a tad bright green for this project, so I just sponged some darker green ink on them.  It is great when we can adjust things to what works for us!  Both of these embellishments come on covered wire and I didn't want to just cut off the wire, so wrapped them around a dowel to create some little coils.  These were just a few of the new additions at the store.  Click HERE to see the others.

I didn't really want an actual window, so I just cut out the muntins (or grids) out of the Small Madison Window die to make a  frame to put the "picture" of this sweet little Tilda!

Also used the Alder tree as a filler too!  This is the smaller Alder tree, but there is also a larger full one called MB 143 GRAND ALDER TREE and I find they both come in real handy to fill in with the flowers.

Now this is Sneaky Tilda, but I don't think she looks sneaky at all, just too sweet and cute!!!!  I've colored her with Promarkers and added a touch of white accents.  I love to color and at times like to just sit and do that, but find when I want to color something a little quicker, the minis are perfect for that and so easy!

Loved the new paper pack!  What a nice variety of small prints that are perfect for cards.  Pretty little Forget Me Not Flowers on some of them like the one I used on this card!

Thanks so much for stopping by and as always I do appreciate your comments!
Enjoy every day!

Red Roses for a Little Lady

Little red roses for our sweet mini Tilda for Dr. Monday MD (minis and dies)!  Yes I did make the roses to match the ones in the image.  I used the Vintage flower dies to make them.  Easy, just curl the petals up tight!

The wonderful products from Diana at the Magnolia-licious online store:
MINI 250 TILDA HIDING ROSE BOUQUET
DH 22 VINTAGE FLOWERS AND LEAVES DIES
DH 93 SWIRL DIE
DH 37 TILDA LACE DIE
DH 73 JOLLY TAGS DIE

So fun to add the little swirls to the flowers and leaves.  I just cut the pieces apart and tuck them in where it needs a little fill.  Hard to see, but I did layer the white tag on black.  I wanted just a little showing, so tracing around the die on the black paper, cut it out and it gave just that little bit of edge.  Kept Tilda simple with the coloring because wanted the roses to pop!
