You're a Winner!

Couldn't resist using this black and white checked paper to go with Tilda's winning flags!!!  Another cutie from the Winner Takes It All collection.

You'll find all three stamps at that especially nice Diana's Magnolia-licious store:
#3003 STARTER TILDA
#547 MEDAL
#725 YOU ARE A WINNER

These are the full size stamps and Starter Tilda and the Medal are also available in the mini size too!

Wouldn't this type of card be a great way to encourage someone?  Who wouldn't want to hear they are #1 and a winner!!!

Tilda and the Medal are water colored with Distress Inks and a little white gel pen has been added for some accents.  Hard to see them on the checked pattern, but there are some EK corner punch pieces.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!!
Enjoy every day!!!

Swimming Tilda enjoying life!!!

Tilda looks like she is enjoying the views underwater.  Is that Nemo she is swimming with?

This is some paper from K and Company and the colors and the swirls at the bottom seemed to fit right in for an ocean scene.

The wonderful Magnolia items and many, many more are from Diana's store Magnolia-licious!

#365 SWIMMING TILDA
#604 HAWSER
#446 SEA SHELLS
#23 ANTIQUE LACE DOOHICKEY DIE

The hawser and sea shells are nice little accessory stamps to add to your creations.  Check out the STEAL of a DEAL that Diana has on these two, but  better get them quick before they are sold out!  The hawser and shells are also ideal accent pieces for masculine cards with ships on them!!!
Tilda and the hawser are water colored with Distress Inks.  The shells are stamped on pink card stock with white pigment ink.  I've used Spellbinders dies, Stampin' Up and Penny Black word stamps and of course added some Glossy Accents to the goggles, fish and bubbles.  Can't believe, but somehow or another I didn't get any sparkle on there!!!  :)
Sure makes me want to go swimming!!!

Enjoy every day!

Happy Birthday Dear Diana!!!

Well, I take the cake!!!  I mean, I serve the cake!  The no calorie version and supposed to represent a key lime cake if there is such a thing!!!  There are a few goodies hidden in the cake!  Okay Diana, now you can open the box!!!  :)

If you have come from that sweetie and fun Ruby's blog, you are partying along the right direction for awesome Diana's Birthday Celebration Hop!  What a great way to honor a terrific gal!!!  If you have stopped by on your own, please head over to Magnolia-licious Highlites to start the party at the beginning!!!  You won't want to miss any party items!!!
This cake was from a pattern from Papercrafts magazine.  You can find it here (scroll down)
I've used more of that lovely SEI wedding paper along with Stardreams text and card stock.
Between the cake slice and the card, I've used some of my favorite things from Magnolia-licious, Diana's wonderful online store!

#340 FAIRYDUST TILDA
#22 VINTAGE FLOWERS AND LEAVES DOOHICKEY DIES
#29 SWIRL BUTTERFLY DOOHICKEY DIE

The flowers were made out of two layers of the Vintage Flowers DooHickey dies, shaped and the centers were chalked.  There is a heart cut out underneath that I used as a base to adhere the flowers.   Also used a Nellie Snellen corner, a Cuttlebug corner and a Spellbinder tag die plus the MS drippy goo punch.  I've added half pearls and also Viva Decor pearl pen in the centers of the flowers.  Stamped the Inkadinkado Happy Birthday and inside Stampin' Up! verse in Vintage Sienna Versafine.
This Tilda is so sweet blowing fairy dust birthday wishes to the Birthday Gal!!!  She is colored with alcohol markers and then a little Stardust pen to make that fairy dust shimmer.

Also made a presentation box with a peek-a-boo window using my wonderful Scor-Pal, but forgot to take a picture!!!

Enjoy the rest of the party and see what treat the talented Maureen has brought to the party!

Wishing Diana a SPECTACULAR Birthday!!!!   No one is more deserving of having the best possible birthday and coming year!!!  PARTY ON!!!!

Enjoy today and every day!!!

Card and Gift Card Box in One

Made a little box to hold gift cards (McDonald's Gift Cards for Lin to use for Hazelnut Iced Coffee!!!) and the top part opens to reveal the card part.  Well, candy would work in here too, of course!!!
You can find the best selection of anything Magnolia HERE at Magnolia-licious!  That awesome Diana is always looking out for us and giving us the best possible prices and services that she can!!!

Here are the Maggie items and links I used on this project:
MINI #218 SWEET TILDA
#4 LEAF AND SWIRL DOOHICKEY DIES
#7 OLD SWEDISH LACE DOOHICKEY DIE
#18 ROSE LEAF DOOHICKEY DIE
#25 GRASS DOOHICKEY DIE

Sorry the doily flowers are out of stock right now, but the #2 PEONY DOOHICKEY DIES would work as well for this flower.
Have also used the SU lattice embossing folder, Spellbinder tag die and Punch Bunch butterfly punch.  A little white gel pen on the butterflies and inked the edges of the flower petals and leaves.  Believe it or not, the center is made from the Grass Doohickey Die!  It is twirled around like we do in quilling.

Made the box by trial and error, so don't have a pattern, but if you go to Scor-Pal, they have lots of fantastic patterns that can be used for this type of thing.  I just can't imagine trying to make cards or boxes without my Scor-Pal or Scor-Buddy!!!

The verse was from a wonderful present that my Dear Friend Marion had sent me, so this one is computer generated.  Many of you know Maz and she is going to have a procedure tomorrow that we are quite concerned about.  Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers to give her strength.  She is such a sweetie and I'm sure she would love the support!

Off to see what trouble I can get myself into!!!

Enjoy every day!

State Fair Time

It is State Fair time coming up soon, so we are having some fun at our local stamp store where I work and have classes.  Right now we are having a fan contest, so this is my contribution.   State Fair vendors always have fans to hand out of course.....anything on a stick!!!  If you're local, there is still time to stop by, get a stick and make your own version.  We're Stampin' Mad

The fan is just hand cut out of black card stock and then layered with the print paper.  Also wrapped the stick in the print paper too.  I've used the Spellbinders mega ovals and foliage dies and Punch Bunch dahlia, birch, daisy and butterfly punches.

We also had a State Fair event on Saturday at the store and had some really fun projects to make.  Here is one of them:

What is a State Fair without animals?!!!  He is made with Spellbinders oval dies, Fiskars grass border, a heart and circle punches.   The fence is a die from the store and the clouds and thought bubble were hand cut.  There are kits, while supplies last, at the store  We're Stampin' Mad for you to buy.  Everything is ready to go, you get the fun part of assembling!!!

Of course thinking State Fair makes a person hungry thinking of any and everything deep fried besides being on a stick!!!  I better stay away!!!

Enjoy every day!

Not Nearly Enough!

These characters from Art Impressions are so funny!  This is from the Golden Oldies series.  I decided to try another Dare to Get Dirty challenge at Splitcoast.  Kept it simple because the images are the focal point, don't need anything else!!!

The words are computer generated and the image is colored with Distress Inks.  I've used a Spellbinders die and a MS punch.  I love to use the different types of jazzing pens and these characters work great for them.  I've used a white gel pen, Stardust pen, glaze pen, silver gel pen, a few markers and also Viva Decor glitter pen for a little dimension!  If I had some real chocolate sprinkles, I would have glued them to the icing!!!  :)

Off to see what else I can finish up!
 Enjoy every day

Fancy Fold Card

This was another challenge for the Splitcoast Stampers Dare to Get Dirty Challenge.  I combined two of the challenges on this project.
I've used some Stampin' Up design paper, and added an extra piece for the flower.  Finished off with a butterfly by Cheery Lynn and ribbon.
The inside has another butterfly and a MS border.
For the flower I've used the SU square lattice embossing folder, EK retro punch, MS branch and Punch Bunch Leaf and sunflower.  Background is Cuttlbug swiss dots.

Easy pattern to use with your Scor-Pal.  Check out Splitcoast Stampers to find out the details of the challenges.

Enjoy every day!!!

Doggone It!

Had some fun using Art Impressions cute little doggie stamps.  They have such a great variety of stamps from cute like these to hilarious characters and beautiful landscaping.  Also very nice people to work with!

I've water colored the dogs with Distress Ink and cut them out.  The hydrant was a shape I had made ages ago.  I traced it on the fold (at the top), cut it out and then did some shading with a brown chalk pencil.  The bones I just freehand cut out and distressed around the edge with Antique Linen Distress Ink.
The paw tracks are stamped in dark brown with a Hero Arts stamp.  And here is a side view.
All for now!  Have a Doggone Good Day!!!

In My Thoughts

This card started because I had a few left over pieces from another project!  White and shimmery paper is rather difficult to photograph!!!  The printed background paper is SEI White Elegance.  It was given to me by an especially nice person!!!  Thank you!!!! :)  It was sooo hard to cut into because it is so pretty, but I'm finally using it!!!!  The paper is white with an almost platinum metallic look too.  GORGEOUS!!!!  So I matched it with Star Dreams paper which really doesn't show up in the photos.

I've entered this into a Dare To Get Dirty 11 Challenge at Splitcoast Stampers.

Did you know you can use alcohol markers on Star Dreams????  I knew you could use the shimmery Cryogen White, but hadn't thought of the using the Star Dreams.  Used the Rich Cocoa Memento Ink pad with some ProMarkers and Touch Markers for a nice soft look.

The Tilda is MINI #3081 Tilda with Hanging Heart!  Isn't she sweet??!!  I also used the #26 Heart Swirl DooHickey Die.  I believe the die is on re-order right now.  You can find all the Magnolia products at Magnolia-licious HERE.  Diana has a large selection and besides being really nice, has fantastic service!!!
And look I even did the inside!!!!

I know we aren't supposed to just collect things, so decided to pull out a few things I haven't used or not for a while anyway.  For the printed paper, I used a Cuttlebug embossing/die, the borders are a MS punch, the flowers and leaves are EK Success punches, the flower centers are Punch Bunch mini sun punch, the corner punch is Creative Memories and the word stamp is Hero Arts.  Also put in some pearl drops with the Viva Decor Pearl Pen and a little Stickles on the wings.
My other project I'll have to wait to post since it is for a special occasion!!!  :)

There are some great projects entered at the Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge of Paper Only!  You still have plenty of time to come up with a Paper Only project to enter too!

Thanks for stopping by!

Enjoy every day!!!

Nothing But Paper Challenge

Absolutely fun project this month from our leader and challenge hostess Diana!!!  Thanks for the challenge Diana, makes a person think!  I've use the cute new mini Watercan Tilda from the Sweet Rainbow collection.

So for my nothing but paper, I've made faux pleated ribbon, faux ribbon and bow, faux brads and of course my usual faux flowers!

All the details are on the Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge blog HERE.  And of course, if you want to join us in the challenge, that really nice Diana has offered another terrific prize!!!
Magnolia-licious has such a spectacular selection for you to chose from.  I've used the following Magnolia products:
MINI #3032 WATERCAN TILDA
#15   POINSETTIA DOOHICKEY DIES
#22 VINTAGE FLOWERS AND LEAVES DOOHICKEY DIES
#24 DREAM TAG DOOHICKEY DIES
#27 MAGNOLIA TREE--BUTTERFLIES DOOHICKEY DIES

Water colored Little Tilda with Distress Inks and did add a white gel pen for accents.  Used a 1/4" and 3/8" circle punch for the faux brads.  The pleated ribbon was made with my handy dandy  Scor-Pal scoring at 3/4", then 1/4", then 1/2", then 1/4" again and repeat those same scores across the strip of paper that is 3/4" wide.  The printed paper is K and Company.  Used a Stampin' Up punch for the oval cut out.
The flowers were made with the #22 VINTAGE FLOWERS AND LEAVES DOOHICKEY DIES.  I've shaded them with a little yellow/gold chalk, twisted the petals and added a 1/8 circle of yellow/gold paper for the centers.  The bow was made from the background paper and I cut it out similar to an old Deja Views stencil.

Hope you'll join the challenge and thanks for checkin' in!!!

Enjoy every day!
