A Caboodle of Cards

Was going for the CAS (clean and simple cards) and did add a little more!  Wanted to make a package of thank you or any occasion cards as a thank you gift.
MINI 200 CELEBRATION TILDA 1
MINI 225 TILDA WITH DAISY
MINI 200 CELEBRATION TILDA 1
MINI 268 LITTLE BUNNY TILDA
7 OLD SWEDISH LACE DOOHICKEY DIE
24 DREAM TAG DOOHICKEY DIE

MINI 117 EDWIN WITH STOLEN HEART

MAGNOLIA PAPERS

Also used some EK Success, MS and Stampin' Up! punches.  All images are colored with Touch and Promarkers.

So often we concentrate on making one card, but we already have the makings of several more with the left over pieces.  We have the papers that go together out, so it's a matter of just making use of them and making the extra cards!  Always good intentions!!!  :)

Diana has been getting more fun dies in at Magnolia-licious!  AND the new Princes and Princesses 2012 collection is up for Pre-Order.  Even more adorable images!!!  Can't wait to create with some of them!!!

There is still time to join the Spring is Right Around the Corner Challenge and also the Vintage and Shabby Chic Challenge at Magnolia-licious Highlites.   As always Diana is offering some really nice prizes!!!  Just a note that on Thursday March 1st, there will be a new fun challenge too!

Enjoy every day!

Spring is Right Around the Corner Blog Hop!!!

Welcome to the Spring is Right Around the Corner Blog Hop!!!  Doesn't that sound exciting!  Even though we have had a fabulous winter here, the sound of spring coming soon is always welcome!  So glad you could stop by and follow along on our Magnolia-licious Highlites little adventure of Spring inspired projects.  I'm first up, but if you get lost along the way, please click HERE to get the list of all my wonderful teammates....you won't want to miss a single one of the fantastic creations they have made!!!!

The Tilda I've used here is #3012 Tilda with Stuffed Animal.  Sooooo sweet!!!  You can find her at Diana's terrific store Magnolia-licious!!!   Yes, I've said it before, and I'll say it again.....Terrific Selection, Terrific Service, and Terrific People!!!  Along with all your Magnolia "needs", Diana is getting more lovely dies in for us too!

On my card, I've also used a Cuttlebug embossing folder, some Spellbinder dies and some Punch Bunch, EK Success and Martha punches.  Tilda is colored with Promarkers and Touch markers with a little blue chalk for the clouds.  The  word stamp is out of a Stampin' Up! set.

Daffodils are a sure sign of spring, so I just had to have some of those on my card.  For the curious, here is a picture of the punches I used for the Daffodils.
Now I hope you will follow along and spring on over to that sweet and talented Mindy's blog because she always has such beautiful things to see!!!

Please join the challenge with your spring inspired creations too!!!  All the details are at Magnolia-licious Highlites!

Thanks for stopping and enjoy every single day!!!

Happy Anniversary Card

Just a quick posting of a card I made for a swap.

Based this card on one I saw someplace, but unfortunately I don't know whose it was originally!  Sorry, I would love to give the credit because it is a great design!!!  Could be used for Valentine's Day or Wedding too!

Heart Punch, Edgelit Die, Embossing Folder and Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp are all Stampin' Up along with the discontinued gingham ribbon!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!
Enjoy every day!

Tilda with Daisy and Cuddly Siblings Cards

I've been working on cards that are kept rather simple.  Have a hard time leaving the backgrounds plain and sometimes use the embossing folders, but this time I wanted some clean lines to add a little design.

This new Sweet Crazy Love collection is so versatile and I'm lovin' all the images!!!  You can find the collection here at Magnolia-licious, and I can bet you, you will love more than one too!!!  As always, Diana has a terrific deal for you too!

Here is what I used on this card:
MINI #225 TILDA WITH DAISY
#17 SNOWFLAKE AND MISTLETOE DOOHICKEY DIES-Snowflake for Leaves
#34 WILD STRAWBERRY AND FLOWERS DOOHICKEY DIES-Small Flower
I've added the design lines with the Scor-Buddy.  A quick and easy way to add that little something to a plain background.  Have used the Spellbinder oval dies and corner punch my dear friend Marion sent me from Australia....sorry there is no name on it!  Pearls were added for accents along with the white gel pen again.

Yet another one that is just sooooo cute!!!  Again I didn't want the extras to overpower the darling image!  I think the Dream Tag, which comes with two pieces, sets off the images nicely.

More fantastic items from Magnolia-licious:

Again I used the Scor-Buddy to create the embossed lines on the left side.  So simple yet I think it adds a lot.
Now there has been some discussion as to whose shoes are whose, but I just color them all the same!!!!  It is up to you to decide!!!  :)
The images on both cards are colored with Promarkers and Touch Markers.   I have found these minis to be VERY EASY to color!!!  With any of the brush or fine tip markers, it is a cinch to color and blend.  I usually use three colors with the Promarkers and even with the small areas, there is room for that too!  I am fortunate enough to be able to get together with stamping friends often and rather than haul a bunch of things that I probably won't use, I've started bringing stamped images and my color mediums only.  Nice.......ONE container to haul!!!  Realistically I know I wouldn't get many whole cards done anyway and this way I can relax and enjoy the coloring process yet still get to see what others are working on and visit too!  Then with the CAS card style, it is so easy to cut them out in circles or ovals, do a little layer stacking and pop them on a card.  Well, okay, I usually can't leave it alone and have to add at least a few flowers, but as you can tell, it makes for a fairly easy card to put together.

I know my blog header needs to be updated to the season, but I'm hoping people look at the red flowers and think Valentine's instead of noticing the holly on the printed paper in the background!!!  :)
That's all for now.  Thanks for stopping by!

Enjoy every day!!!

Cutie Pie Happy Birthday Angie Card

Happy Birthday Angie!!!  Hope you have a fantastic day, filled with lots of fun surprises!
This Cutie Pie is a new release from Little Darlings.  Another sweet little image to adorn cards!  This one is called Fresh Picked Flowers.
I've colored her with Promarkers and Touch Markers.  I had the #30 Cloud and #25 Grass DooHickey Dies for a while and hadn't used them yet!  The little flowers are a die from the #34 Wild Strawberry and Flowers set.  You can find these dies and many more at Diana's Magnolia-licious!

Mindy has a list of others that are participating in Angie's celebration with an image or two and birthday wishes on her blog HERE.

So Angie will now need to do the little dance like they do at Bubba Gumps!!!!  Happy Birthday Angie!!

Enjoy every day!

Rose Scent Tilda

This little beauty from the Sweet Crazy Love collection is sooo cute!  Love the hair style on her!  I've kept this one in soft turquoise colors with a touch of soft green.

This is Rose Scent Tilda #255.  The full size is not available right now, but Diana at Magnolia-licious is getting new orders in all the time!  If you can't wait for that one, the mini version is available HERE along with the #23 ANTIQUE LACE DOOHICKEY DIE.
Colored with Promarkers and Touch Markers. Also used a Cuttlebug embossing folder and a couple of Spellbinder dies.  The thinking of you stamp and oval punch piece are from Stampin' Up!
Just love these little self-stick half pearls!  They are the perfect size for our Tilda's!  Found them at Michael's craft store.  Also used the gel pen for a few accents.

Thanks for stopping by!
Enjoy every day!!!

CHA and some Photos

Takes me a bit, but finally getting around to posting some photos from CHA.  What a dream and it was so wonderful to see friends again and meet new ones too!!!

CHA 2012 at the Anaheim Convention Center in California.  What an awesome experience!!!
Gordon and Robert were here from England to demonstrate in the Scor-Pal booth.  They did some great demos on the products and of course showed some new must have things coming to Scor-Pal too.

The mini tags all colored for display.  My friends are always asking me what I'm doing and I say coloring mini tags!  No, I didn't do all of them, but quite a few!!!!  :)  Now they really know I was!
Special treat at Bubba Gumps Shrimp Company.  Great food and even better people!  Stomach hurt from laughing so much!  That waiter had his hands full with this group!!!
Bronlyn, Mindy, Angie, Sharon, Me, Cabio, Suzanne, Diana, Suzan, Bev, Jacque.
Two amazing ladies....Suzanne and Diana!!!
The Floral Punch Card Group!!!  What a fun time!!!
Suzan, Jacque, Bev, Cabio, Diana, Me, Bronlyn, Sharon, Angie, Mindy
Me, Bronlyn, Diana, Sharon, Cabio, Sharon, Jacque, Mindy, Bev, Angie
A dream come true for me and the bonus was to work with such fabulous people!  Definitely want to thank Diana and Roy from the bottom of my heart for this fantastic experience.

Roy, Cabio, Me, Gordon, Mindy, Robert, Angie, Diana
I got to meet Cabio and Mindy for the first time!!!  Real sweeties!!!  Cabio and I got to share a room for part of the time and it takes a few hours of sleep deprivation to be able to talk about everything!
And it sure pays to visit with people in the shuttle from the airport to the hotel!  I got to meet Lorraine (Lols) of Lorraine's Loft from England now living in Malta and coincidentally she was looking forward to meeting Sharon Caudle too!  We also went on a little shopping trip and had a great time just visiting.

An adventure of a lifetime that I will always treasure!  Saw some of the new products, but the most important thing was the people.

Enjoy every day!

Vintage Shabby Chic Valentine Card

Time for a new challenge.... I tried something a little different doing the Vintage Shabby Chic.  Besides the tri-fold card with the removable heart, I made a little trinket or truffle box too!  Thinking perfect size for a couple of Lindt truffles!  Also got to use the new key DooHickey dies!!!

Check out Magnolia-licious Highlites for all the info on how you can join the challenge and there are also some beautiful examples from the other design team members.

With the markings already there, it is so easy to make a tri-fold card on the Scor-Buddy!  I added three different papers from the Mini Wedding Paper pack.  I edged some of the papers with the Picket Fence Distress Crackle Paint.  Fun stuff!!!  The keys and some of the mats are the gold mirror card stock.  Very hard to photograph, sometimes it looks black!  The Tilda's were water colored with Distress Inks and the flowers and leaves were sponged with Antique Linen and Bundled Sage distress inks

Here are the Magnolia things that I used from Magnolia-licious:
MINI 282 TILDA SENDING LOVE LETTERS
MINI 240 TILDA WITH WRAPPED HEART
7 OLD SWEDISH LACE DOOHICKEY DIE
#15  POINSETTIA FLOWERS DOOHICKEY DIE
22 VINTAGE FLOWERS AND LEAVES DOOHICKEY DIES-Leaves
24 DREAM TAG DOOHICKEY DIE
#26 HEART SWIRL
34 WILD STRAWBERRY AND FLOWERS DOOHICKEY DIES- Flower
34 VINTAGE KEYS DOOHICKEY DIES
MINI WEDDING COLLECTION PAPER PACK
On the inside, I made a pocket for the heart.  Also used some Spellbinders ovals, a stamp from the dollar bin at Michael's and some half pearls for the centers of the flowers.  The bows are seam tape and gold cording.
The little trinket box was revised from a pattern by Deb Felts.  Nice of her to share the pattern.
Be sure to check out Diana's Magnolia-licious for all your Magnolia needs and also many other terrific products too!  I am loving the No More Shims Mat for my stamp mat besides using it for embossing in the Cuttlebug.  And I use to get so frustrated with the old brown teflon mats curling up and moving around on me and the Stay Put Craft Mat does just that STAYS PUT!!!!  They are a nice large size and the edges don't curl up on you either!!!

Of course, I had used my trusty Scor-Buddy for making the easiest tri-fold card ever.

Hope you will join us for our Vintage Shabby Chic February Challenge at Magnolia-licious Highlites.  It's not only fun to try something different, Diana is always so generous with prizes too!

Enjoy every day!
