Dotty Tilda

Just love Valentine Tilda, thank goodness she can be used year round!  I so admire Chris Dark's coloring, she has such a unique style and I just love it!  So this is my attempt at the background.  Got some learning to do, but fun to try!

Used Distress Inks:  Dusty Concord, Weathered Wood, Tattered Rose, Faded Jeans.  Already forgot what browns, either Brushed Corduroy or Frayed Burlap or both!!!  Punches are Stampin' Up! scallop trim border and a new butterfly border I found from EK Success in the American Girl category.  Also used the white Glaze pen for accenting.

To find Magnolia stamps, click here to go to Diana's at Magnolia-licious has the best customer service and a fantastic selection.  If she is out of a particular one, she is always getting new shipments.  Ha, like being out of one stops anyone from finding another to get!!!

Want to thank all of you wonderful people that have stopped by my blog and encouraged me with such fantastic comments and signed up as followers.  Can't believe I am creeping up on 10,000 hits, so going to do something for blog candy as appreciation.  Really enjoy coloring with the distress inks because they blend and flow so nicely.  Since I've received personal e-mails with questions about them, for the blog candy I'll have the distress ink palette that I've made up and use plus some other goodies.  So please check back within the next week or so!

Enjoy the day!!!

Tulip Tilda

Tulip Tilda is just another fun little gal to color with distress inks!  Used some left over paper from another card.  Hard to see, but used Crystal Lacquer on the Tulip and also the butterfly.

Supplies used distress inks, Graphics 45 paper, Northwoods butterfly stamp, pearl dots, white glaze pen for accenting and ribbon and lace.

Distress Ink colors are Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade,  Antique Linen, Brushed Corduroy, Tattered Rose and Frayed Burlap.

Noticed some people trim Tilda with just a little white edge, so tried that this time.  Actually thought it was a little easier to cut out then right next to the line!  What do you do?

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy St. Pat's Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day to all those Irish and Irish only on this day!!!  Recently got this little leprechaun from a used stamp sale, but unfortunately do not know the brand name of the stamp since it was unmounted.  Looks like it might be a High Hopes, but did not see it on their site.

Supplies I used were the Distress Inks, Cuttlebug embossing folder friends, punches and word stamp from Stampin' Up! and some gold coins off a necklace.  Accented a little with the gold Krylon pen and Distress Ink.

An Old Irish Blessing
May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends by yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life's passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!

Reese's Chocolate Peanut Butter Eggs

This is terrible....this time of year I crave Reese's Chocolate Peanut Butter Eggs.  The chocolate cups just won't do, gotta have the eggs.  Well this Chocolate Egg for Tilda is a no calorie version.  I was inspired by Valita with her Fresh Fold patterns.  Check her out here, she has some awesome designs and the folds are easy and fun to do.  Plus she gives you some video tutorials.

Now on this card,  I also cheated with the pre-made flowers.  They are so cute and dainty and so quick to pop on a card.  I won't abandon my Floral Punch Craft, but these will come in handy once in a while.

So the supplies I used are Valentine Tilda, Oval Nestabilities, Cuttlebug embossing folders-- stylized flowers and swirl, Happy Easter stamp from Teeny Tiny Wishes by Stampin' Up!, Distress Inks:  Weathered Wood, Worn Lipstick, Scattered Straw, Tattered Rose, White Glaze Pen, Ribbon, and Pearls.

To get these adorable Tilda's, go to Magnolia-licious Store here!  Some of the new collections are in and they go fast.  Diana is awesome with her generosity and great service!  She also has the Scor-pals which I would not want to be without!!!

Amphibious Friends

Fun day today playing with the new Distress Inks!  A friend was selling this adorable stamp and it looked like so much fun to color....couldn't resist.  Had trouble resisting quite a few more too, but those will be for a later time!!!  This stamp is by the Artful Stamper.  Used a variety of the Distress Inks on watercolor paper with a waterbrush.  Sorry don't know the name of the paper, bought it at the local stamp store and it works fantastic with these inks.  Background paper is Grapics 45 and border punch is EK Success.

Thanks for checking in!!!
